reading (p. 18); comprehending (p. 19)二、教学目标:1能力目标:在本节课结束时,学生能够l 简单地描述自己的旅游计划,包括选择什么交通方式,什么时候出发或结束,以及希望获得什么样的经历。l 说出一些关于地形地貌的名词,列举湄公河流经的国家名称。l 归纳阅读篇章的主要内容,并描述两位主人公王坤和王薇不同的个性和态度。2目标语言l 重点词汇和短语transport, prefer, disadvantage, fare, flow, ever since, persuade, cycle, graduate, schedule, be fond of, shortcoming, stubborn, organize, care about, determined, changeones mind, journey, altitude, make up ones mind, give in, valley, pace, bend l 重点语法项目:现在进行时表达将来。3文化目标了解湄公河的特点以及湄公河流域的地理风貌。三、教学步骤: warming up 1谈论个人旅游经历1) 课前让学生欣赏歌曲“ moon river”(边播放音乐边展示歌词)。2) 教师提问学生是否喜欢旅游,曾经去过哪里旅游,从而引出本课的主题。3) 教师简单介绍自己去了哪里旅游,感觉怎样?然后提问个别学生说出他某次旅游的情况,其他学生可以提问。课前播放音乐可让学生在轻松的状态下进入本单元主题的学习,同时也可训练学生听歌词的能力。大部分学生都喜欢旅游,老师询问学生是否喜欢旅游,谈谈自己旅游的经历,能有效地调动学生的学习积极性。让一两个学生先介绍自己旅游的情况后让其他学生提问,能够活跃课堂气氛,也能为学生创造说英语的环境,锻炼学生的口语。2小组对话:旅游计划1)教师提问个别学生喜欢用哪种方式旅游及其理由,列出常用的几种交通方式。2)假设有四天时间让学生去旅游,两人讨论旅游计划,要求学生考虑各种交通工具的费用,并运用现在进行时表将来。讨论过程中,学生应记录旅游计划的要点,以便向全班汇报。3)教师选择一两个小组汇报旅游计划。pre-reading 1教师展示一些河流的图片,学生猜测河流的名字,从而引出湄公河。展示沿湄公河的一些漂亮的景点,引起学生的兴趣,同时展示一些相关的生词,然后让学生观察p.18地图,说出湄公河流经的国家。2教师介绍随后的阅读篇章是关于一段沿着湄公河而下的旅程,让学生猜测故事的主人公在旅行途中会有什么样的见闻,提问:what words or information do you think will be included in the reading passage?reading 1 找读:学生快速浏览课文,寻找相关信息并回答问题。2边听录音,边仔细阅读课文,完成ppt中所列表格3 学生再次阅读课文,结合注释p.80-82 no.1-9的句子翻译找出文章中难以理解的句子。4 教师让学生提问,然后解释难句。 5 学生四人小组讨论归纳总结王坤和王薇对旅游的不同态度,完成p.19 ex. 3。6 学生讲出自己的讨论结果,老师点评并小结归纳。 recite 1学生根据以下关键词和短语,用自己的话复述课文。2教师请学生复述,第一次可以两到三人共同复述一次,每人负责一部分或几句话,第二次一个人复述整篇课文。 homework1 阅读课文,划出重点词汇和短语以及文章中的难句。2 完成sb p20 ex. 1-3。3 用自己的话复述课文。课后反思:学生虽然学完阅读课文,但并没完全理解部分重点词汇、短语的使用,因此布置学生自己根据自我理解而划出重点词汇和短语以及文章中的难句, 为下一节语言点的学习做了很好的铺垫。period 2一、教学内容:using language-reading and discussing; listening (p.23) 二、教学目标:1能力目标1)学生能够在阅读过程中运用记笔记的形式理解文章,并且能够根据自己所记的笔记按照时间的顺序描述作者骑自行车旅行途中的所遇所见和所感。2)学生能够听懂对话中女孩对湄公河作用的描述,并对老挝的风土人情等方面进行描述。2目标语言1)重点词汇和短语wool, reliable, as usual, view, at midnight, pillow, flame, beneath2)重点句子our legs were so heavy and cold that they felt like blocks of ice.三、教学步骤: warming up 1课堂上教师首先让学生欣赏歌曲“青藏高原”,伴随着歌声让学生想象那里的美丽景色。 2向学生展示几张青藏高原景色的照片,并让学生根据图片回答几个与此有关的问题。reading 1教师简述所要阅读的主要内容:就是王坤 和王薇是如何在山上过夜的。2教师布置学生带着问题去阅读文章,并在阅读过程中指导学生边读边根据关键词记录阅读文章的主要信息。3学生分成两人小组交流自己所作的记录,并且相互补充,从而完善自己的记录信息。4教师让学生在文章当中划出一些带有感情色彩的语句,通过对这些语句的分析,可以得出文章中渗透的深层含义,从而对文章的信息内容有了更加深刻的了解,并且能推断出王坤和王薇对这次自行车旅行的感受。5教师布置学生做课本上p.22练习一的回答问题。教师提供参考性答案。6教师布置学生分成两人小组对课本上p.22练习二的问题进行想象和讨论,并让小组同学到讲台上演示。教师可以给学生提供参考性答案。7教师让学生从课文中挑出比较难理解的句子,然后在黑板上集中处理。8播放录音,学生标出每个句子或者意群停顿的升调和降调,然后模仿朗读。listen and practice 1 让学生快速阅读练习二和三,抓住主要信息,从而猜测听力的内容。2 让学生听录音,完成p.23 ex. 2-3,然后让学生同桌相互对答案,接着让学生听第二次录音,看看谁的答案准确。最后教师给出参考性答案。3 接着上面的听力内容教师把学生分成两人小组继续讨论和猜测王坤和老挝女孩还会谈些什么事情,从而完善刚才的听力对话。注意使用p.23 ex.4的句型来结束对话。同时教师也可以提供一些话题供学生们参考或者选择使用。4教师挑选两到三组的同学表演对话,然后给予适当点评。5教师组织学生讨论教材中列出的功能性句型,讨论每个句型在什么情景下使用。homework 1 熟记本单元的单词与词组,用自己的话复述王薇和王坤旅游的第1-3部分;2 在网上搜集更多湄公河的信息并记录在笔记本里。课后反思:用自己的话复述王薇和王坤旅游的第1-3部分可以让学生进一步熟练课文内容,同时也巩固了本单元所学的词汇和短语。让学生从网上搜集湄公河的信息可以让学生更好地巩固所学过的语言,另一方面也增加了对湄公河的认识,从而激发学生对祖国大好河山的热爱。unit 4 earthquakes一、教学内容:pre-reading;
