Knowledge Objectives:1) Be able to master the pronunciation, meaning and spelling of the names of diseases: fever, sore throat, sore back; stomachache, headache, toothache, cold, cough;2) Be able to learn the expressions of giving advice: lie down and rest, drink hot tea with honey, see a dentist, take this medicine;3) Be able to talk about health problems by using “Whats the matter? I have a” and give advice by using “You shouldYou shouldnt”2. Ability Objectives:1) Be able to talk about ones health problems and give advice fluently;2) Be able to role play doctor and patient;3. Moral Objectives:1) Improve the cooperative spirit through pair work and role playing2) Care more about yourself and your family members health.二、学情分析 八年级是学习英语的关键时期，这个阶段的学生活泼、好奇心和求知欲望强。比如像本课所涉及的有关健康的话题是他们之前从未接触过的，因此，他们渴望用英语来表达。另外，八年级学生的记忆以具体形象记忆为主，并习惯于机械性记忆初中生理解和分析语言的能力相对来说较弱。经过初一一年英语的学习与熏陶，已经有了一定的英语语言基础与英语学习的能力。他们积累了一定的词汇；基本能听懂课堂对话用语；能用简单的话语和动作来表达自己的观点；有一定的小组合作学习的经验，也有一定的生活积累。但该阶段学生的心理具有过渡性、动荡性与社会性等特征。逐步出现两极分化，认知热情时高时低，为了促进学生有效学习，在教学设计中设置了语言情境，并引进小组竞争机制，能更好地激发他们的学习兴趣，提高课堂效率。除此之外，教师要给学生适时而恰当的鼓励。学生在课堂上的发言，教师都要尽力加以表扬，鼓励，多运用积极的鼓励性语言，对于学生在口语练习中出现的错误，不必有错就纠，有错必纠，使学生产生“跃跃欲试”的冲动,享受成功的喜悦。三、重点难点 本单元的话题是Health,功能是谈论健康问题与提出建议。根据学生的认知发展规律，制定了本课的教学重点：The teaching Focus：1. I have a”and give advice by using “You should You shouldnt”初二学生的思维虽活跃但认知心理还未成熟，仍缺乏一定的分析，判断与概括能力，因此确定了本课的教学难点：The Teaching Difficulties：1. Students may find it difficult to use should/ shouldnt correctly2. Students may find it difficult to give appropriate advice to the certain disease because of their limited life experience.四、教学过程 Step 1 Warming-upLet students listen to If you are happy and sing the song together (using PPT)设计说明: 通过听并吟唱歌曲,创设了和谐轻松的课堂氛围,让学生融入英语课堂,同时唤起学生对身体部位词汇的记忆。Step 2 presentation T: This is really a beautiful song. What can you do if you are happy?T: Yes, hands and feet are parts of our body. Do you know other body parts in English?show a doll and teach the words of body parts.Read and repeat the following words loudly: head, eye, ear, nose, throat, neck, mouth, arm, stomach, hand, back，leg, foot.设计说明: 借助漂亮的布娃娃，边介绍边跟读各身体部位单词。实物与单词结合能使学生初步感知和快速理解单词。Step 3 FinishExercise1a 设计说明：快速地完成图片和单词的对应，这种紧张而快速的作答可以激发学生的学习兴趣，同时也巩固了单词。Step 4 Game：Simonsays T: Simon says touch your head.All students stand up and touch their body parts. If they do wrong, they have to sit down.设计说明: 通过游戏让全体学生动起来，寓教于乐，进一步掌握所学词汇，以便下一步的知识铺垫。Step 5 Presentationandpairwork 1. Show Ss the doll and a bandage and tell them there is something wrong in the place where the bandage lies. Then get Ss to guess the health problems. When I do an action, ask Ss: “Whats the matter?”2. Make the Ss practice the dialogue in pairs.设计说明：老师在课堂上出示医疗用具-绷带，能充分唤起学生的好奇心，使其积极地参与到教学活动中。Step 6 Presentation Show Ss pictures, make them practice “whats the matter?” and learn more phrases about the diseases, learn how to use “should” to give advice about health problems.设计说明：用2a 中的图片让大家学习有关疾病的短语，并且学习如何用should 对于健康问题给出自己的建议。为下一步的听力扫清障碍，使听力变得更加熟悉。Step 7 Pairwork Ask Ss to work in pairs and talk about health problems by using the bandage given and using the target language: Whats the matter? I have a 设计说明：让学生加深巩固所学内容，为下一步的知识输出做好准备。Step 8 Listeningfortheinformation. 设计说明：通过听力的训练更好的掌握所学内容。 Step 9Reading Readtheconversationandanswerthequestions.设计说明：通过教材中的对话复习目标语言。让学生可以完成相应的阅读训练。 Step 10 Roleplaying Ask Ss to make a four -people group, one of them is a doctor, the other three are patients. Ask the Ss to role play the dialogue above. Then ask several groups to perform before the class by using some tools: bandage, a uniform.设计说明：八年级学生的表演欲望强，所以，在结对活动中，为每一小组提供绷带，这样可以激发学生的参与性，扩大参与面，使更多的学生开口说英语。模拟生活中的真实情景, 调节课堂气氛,有效调动学习兴趣,再次复习了本课的主要句型,锻炼了口语表达能力。Step 11 Conclusion T： All of you did a good job！ Before we call it an end， lets go over what we learn today.设计说明: 把黑板上的知识点再复习一遍,再次巩固知识。Step 12 Homework 1Revise
