云南省开远四中高中英语必修二unit2 the olympic games教学设计unit 2 the olympic gamesreading an interview 教学设计一、教材分析:1.教材概述本单元以世界性的体育盛会olympic games 为话题,旨在通过本单元的教学,使学生了解奥运会的起源、宗旨、比赛项目以及古现代奥运会的异同。这一课时主要围绕阅读部分讲解,文章通过一个虚拟的采访两千年前古希腊作家帕萨尼亚斯与一位当代女孩李燕的对话,向学生介绍了古今奥运会的异同及奥运会的一些基本情况。2.教学目标1).知识目标: 学习掌握有关奥运会和文中涉及的词汇,如:compete,competitor, medal, greece, greek, athlete, stadium, gymnasium;host, magical, interview, admit, a set of, as well as等。学习掌握一些用于讨论奥运会的结构句式,如:what are the similarities and differences about the ancient and modern olympics?2).技能目标通过skimming, scanning, careful-reading,generalization等阅读技能训练,让学生进一步熟悉和掌握一些阅读技巧,获取关于奥运会的信息,并培养学生运用信息进行推理、判断的能力。 3).情感目标:通过学习奥运会的知识,培养学生对体育运动的热爱。学习更快,更高,更强的奥运精神,培养学生团体合作、努力拼博、积极向上的精神。3教学重点本课的教学重点是帮助学生了解古、今奥运会的异同点和其一些基本情况。4. 教学难点本课的教学难点是训练学生获取信息、分析思考和解决问题的能力,培养学生带着问题去阅读文章的习惯。二、教法学法分析1教法 新课程标准强调了以学生为主体,教师作为引导者的角色,因此,就本课的学习,可采用问答法,快速阅读法,讨论法,合作学习法等多种教学方法。鉴于本文内容会涉及大量的图片信息,将借助多媒体的直观教学手段和传统教学方式相结合,上一堂趣味性、知识性融为一体的阅读课。 2学法课前预习,搜索奥运会相关知识,发挥学生的自学能力。精读教材,有利于理解文章的重点和难点,提高学习效率。课后练习,有助于学生复习课堂知识点,巩固所学要点,查漏补缺。三 教学过程step 1. lead-in & warming up.师生互动: 教师通过free talk向学生提出问题“do you like sports? which sports do you like?”然后通过多媒体展示一些学生熟悉并喜欢的体育明星及体育运动的画面,从视觉上激发学生对本话题的兴趣,学生根据图片进行知识抢答:having a competition. can you speak out the english names of the following sports as quickly as possible? step2.pre-reading 老师给出两个有关奥运会的问题,what do the five rings stand for? what is the motto(口号) of the olympic games? 学生一一抢答,从而将学生引向课文的学习。step 3. fast reading 1. 个人活动:教师事先预设六个问题要求学生快速阅读,并回答这六个问题:who is pausanias? what does he want to do ?who is li yan?what are two main sets of games?how often do we hold the games?whats the motto of the olympics?step 4. careful reading要求学生read once again,然后讨论并回答以下问题:1. where do all the competitors live?a. a hotel. b. a special village. c. a restaurant. d. nowhere.2. why do so many countries want to host the olympic games? a. to develop the economy. b. it is a great honor. c. to make the country famous. d. they want to make money.3.which of the following is included in the winter olympic games?a. skiing and ice skating b.running races c. horse riding d. swimming4. why does pausanias think people may be competing for money in the modern olympic games? a. the winner can get medals. b. the winner can be awarded lots of money by their own countries. c. the olive wreaths have been replaced by medals. d. medals are made of gold.step 5. discuss班级活动: 认真阅读课文,找出古现代奥运会的异同。what are the similarities and differences about the ancient and modern olympics?similarities:1.both are held every _ years. 2._are allowed to take part in both in ancient and modern olympics.3.the athletes compete not for money but for _.4.the mottos are the same. they are: _.5.some events are the same,such as running _. differencestep 6. 师生互动,生生互动采取老师和学生对话,学生和学生之间的对话形式。主要以以下问题为主:1. how often are the olympic games held? a.every three years b.every four years c.every five years2.what are two main sets of games?a. spring and summer b. summer and winter c. spring and winter3.the three words that show the spirit of the olympic games are_ a.faster, higher and further b. better, healthier and higherc. swifter, higher and stronger 4. where do all the competitors live?a. a hotel. b. a special village. c. a restaurant. for example:a: good morning!b: good morning!a: how are you?b: im fine,thank you.and you?a.im fine ,too.may i ask you a question?b:of coursea: how often are the olympic games held?b:every four years a: ok,thank you.b:youre welcomestep 7.thinking1.what can we learn from the players?2.as a student, what should we do?we learn : love,struggle,unity,persistence, friendship, cooperation.as a student, we should be confident,study hard,a
