I am Shen Wenli from Kaifaqv Middle School .it is my great honor to have this opportunity to talk about my teaching ideas. Now Ill say Section A (1a-2c)of Unit4 in Term 2, Grade 7. Ill prepare to say the lesson from six parts.Part One Analysis of the Teaching MaterialStatus and function 1. This is the fourth unit in Go for itin the second Term , Grade 7.This is an important lesson in Unit4. This textbook has a large vocabulary. The contents are original, especially the lively and vivid cartoon pictures, are in line with the age characteristics and psychological characteristics of students in Grade Seven, which also contains rich and colorful cultural knowledge, and explore cooperation activities, is very close to the students real life experience . The topic of this unit is Talking about rules. It is closely related to daily life. As a student, it is necessary to follow the rules of the school, class, family and society. In talking about the rules, we often use imperative sentences, modal verbs can and have to, and so on. This is the content of the new English curriculum standards must be mastered, is an essential part of communicative English. So this unit is great help to improve students interest in learning and improve students ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing.This class is mainly about listening and speaking. It has two parts. One is to grasp the imperative sentences by learning rules and the using of can . The other is to learn to consolidate and strengthen the imperative sentences.So this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material.2. This lesson is the first period of Unit 4.So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit.Part Two Analysis of the Teaching Aims1. Teaching AimsKnowledge goals: A. Words and phrases: rule, arrive,(be)on time ,hallway, hall, dining hall, listen, listen to,fight,outside, wearB、Sentence structureS: (1).Dont arrive late for class.(2)We cant arrive late for class. We must be on time.Can we listen to music, Cindy?We cant listen to music in class, but we can listen to it outside.C, Grammar: the use of imperative sentences and modal verbs can and have toD, Function: talk about rules and make rules.(2) Ability aims: to develop the ability of students to use the sentences to talk about rules.(3) Emotional goals: talking about rules is good for students to follow the rules, so that students feel the advantages of following the rules.2.Teaching key points and difficulties(1) key points: learning and using the rules of communication and vocabulary.(2) difficulties: be able to use can/can t, must and imperative sentences to talk about rules 3. Teaching aids: make some pictures about rules of the school before class, computer, tape recorder.Part Three the Learning situationOur teaching object is the Grade7 students in rural areas. The students learning foundation is poor. The interest in learning English is not high, not confident, dare not speak. So Ill try to ask them to take part in the activities in the teaching process . And Ill give them more opportunities to speak English to reduce their fear. While the students are short of the rich language foundation . They have difficulties in completing some tasks . By cooperation between the students learning to reduce their difficulties in learning . Ill try to make all of the students at different levels be harvested and make them experience the joy of success.Part Four the Learning waysStudy method: the new curriculum emphasizes students as the center, the students as the subject of learning, the teachers main task is to help students form effective learning strategies, develop independent learning ability, in the teaching, teachers should guide students:1, Talk about the rules of the school bravely and improve oral English ability.2,Develop the ability of listening, speaking , reading and writing.3, Improve students practice, participation, cooperation, exploration ability.4, Adjust their emotional attitude.5, Consolidate in time and remember again and again.Part Five the teaching ways1, Listening and saying: By listening , saying , practicing mainly, through the study of the key sentences to develop students ability of listening and speaking.2, Communicative approach: pay attention to the ability to use the language, to note the use of knowledge, to develop the Ss interest in learning and helping each other.Part Six Teaching ProcedureIll finish this lesson in nine steps.Step 1. Warming up and lead-in1.Lead in the class by the picture of the tiger hurting people in Badaling Beijing zoo T:Do you know the thing in Badaling Beijing zoo ? Why the two visitors are dead and hurt? Nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards. 2. Free talk What can you do at school ? What cant you do at school ?Step 2.New words .1.Ask students to turn to Page 122, read the new words on Page 19-20 by themselves , ask the teacher for help if someone meets problems.2.Correct the wrong places when reading and ask them to read after me.3.Pictures about main words in ppt. and explain and sum up the main words.Step 3. Match work(Do 1a ) 1. In this part,students will learn to talk about different school rules. 2. Show the pictures and say:“These students are breaking the rules. What do you want to say to them?”3. Now please open your books at Page 19Look at the sentences on the leftThey are sentences about school rulesPlease read themAnd look at the pictures on the right. Try to understand the five sentences and write the number of the rule next to the studentEncourage the students to say something about the pictures and do the match workTell Ss we should follow the rules, dont break the school rules. We should have good habits. Step 4 Listening ( Do 1b ) T: If you want to be good students, dont break the school rules. The rules are good for your study. But now here are some bad students. Look! Each of these students is breaking one of these rules. Now there are three students Peter, Amy and Mike. What rules are these students breaking? Please listen to the tape and write the numbers after the names.First, ask students to catch 1bs the meanings and look at the pictures in 1a. Next, we11 listen to a recordingIn the recording,people are talking about school rules. Lets listen and write the numbers after the 3 namesLets see which rule each of the 3 is breaking. Play the recorderThen check the answersAfter this,ask students to show their answers to their deskmatesStep 5 Pairwork (Do 1c ) S.A is a new student. S.B is telling S.A about the school rules above: eg: A: Dont run in the hallways. B: Sorry, I wont.A: what are the rules?B: well, we cant arrive late for class. We must be on time. Ask students to practice the conversation and make their own conversationsSs work in pairs and practice saying the school rules. Step 6: listening 1. Read the sentences in 1a. Change the sentences with we cant. 2. T: Now please open your books at Page 20. Look! What can you see in the picture?T: Yeah, the boy is Alan, and the girl is Cindy.T: What are they doing?S: They are talking.T: What are they talking about? T: Now lets listen to the tape and check the activities Alan and Cindy talk about.3. Listening (2a、2b) Listen ,Check and Circle.1) Listen twice and finish 2a and 2b.2) Check the answers, then report the answers using sentences. Report: These are their rules. They cant listen to music in the classroom or hallways, but they can listen to music in the music room. Step 7 (2c) S A is Alan & S B is Cindy. Talk about the rules in 2a. Model: Can we listen to music, Cindy? We cant listen to music in the hallways, but we can listen to it outside. Ss work in groups to talk about different rules in different
