Learn to describe the animals, express preferences and give reasons.教学过程1. Warming-up and lead-in To increase students interest, the teacher shows the class some pictures of a zoo. And ask some questions about animals: Do you like animals? Whats your favorite animal?( Ask some students their favorite animals ,write them on the blackboard. Such as: koala, panda, giraffe, elephant, tiger, lion, cat )2. Presentationa). Show the class some pictures about animals, And ask them: Whats this in English?Its a (tiger, lion, panda, elephant, koala, giraffe)(Ss look at the picture and try to remember the new words of the animals.)b). Ask students to talk with their partners about the animals they like.What animals do you like?Why do you like ?Because theyre c).Next, give students one minute to match the words with the animals in 1a.Then check the answers with the class.3. Guessing gameShow some pictures on the PPT, the teacher describe the characteristics of the animals.Ss try to guess and remember the names of the animals.4. ListeningTell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a.Listen again and check the answers with the class.5. Pairworka).Ask the students if they are in the zoo and many kinds of animals in it.b). Then ask a students to do the model with you:, Lets see the lions.
