Lead-in1. Greetings and talk about the weather.2. Show a picture and talk about picnic.-Weve got lots of apples. (have got / has got) Step 2. New Words and Sentences1. Show some pictures about food and drink, and learn the names of them.2. After talking about the names of food and drink, learn the plural form of nouns, and distinguish the countable nouns and uncountable nouns. Plural form of nouns: some apples, some chocolateCountable nouns: appleapples potatopotatoes Uncountable nouns: chocolatechocolate milkmilk 3. Show some pictures and practice the names of food and drink.4. Check their homework. Activity 1 has been set as the homework beforehand. Check the words with the whole class.5. Drills. Make some sentences about the pictures by using the new words and sentence structures as follows:We have got some We havent got anyHave you got any ? Yes, I have. / No, I havent.Betty has gotHe hasnt got anyHas he/she got any ? Yes, he/she has. / No, he/she hasnt.Step 3. Listening and Speaking1. Teacher shows a shopping list and plays the record.2. Ask students to listen carefully and finish Activity 4 on the textbook.Listen and check () the food and drink Betty and her mother have got. 3. Talk about going shopping for food and drink with dad.What have we got?What havent we got?4. Show two questions on the screen, and then play a video about them. Ask students to watch the video and answer the questions.(1) Has Tony got any meat? (No, he hasnt.)(2) Has he got any chocolate? (Yes, he has.)Step 4. Reading and Exercises1. The students read the conversation together.2. Arrange a group work after reading. The work is to talk about the food and drink Tonys family has got or hasnt got in groups of four, and complete the table at the same time.3. Role-play. Ask the students to practice the dialogue in pairs then show it.4. Post a question and:What cant Tony buy? (And why cant he buy them?) Ask the students to find the reason from the conversation, then they will learn about the phrases, be good for and be bad for.5.
