Unit 14 I remember meeting all of you in Grade 7.Section B 1a-1e The analysis of the Teaching Material:This unit is from Go for itand it is learned in the first term of Grade Nine . From the learning of this unit, the students should be able to express their feelings about their mother school , teachers and friends . They also understand clearly what they hope to do in the future. Section B 1a-1e is about the students future. It helps the students make their own decisions by listening and speaking. In emotion , it will enable the students to be thankful to the people around them as well as not to forget where they came from.The analysis of the students : The students in Grade 9 have the basic ability to use the target language, as they have learned it for almost 3 years i. So they must be interested in talking about their future and the life during the 3 years in journey high school .in English. Play a video“When I grow up ”3. Career Riddle1.Watch the video2. Guess the career namesUse the English song and riddles to lead in the main content of this class . Arouse the students interest .Step2:1a(3minutes)Group competition: See which group is better. At the same time, provide some useful expressions they might use so as to help them to consolidate the useful structures.Write and speak out :What do they hope to do in the future ?Tell the Ss that there are many jobs around the world. As long as you work hard, youll get a good job. While-listening(8 minutes)Step3Listening(8 minutes)Play the tape three times:1. Listen and find the general idea. Listen to the conversation more carefully and find the specific ideas (Finish 1c & 1d)3. Ask 1 student to the blackboard to write the answers down .(1d)1. Consolidate what weve learnt today.Teaching reflectionThe idea of this teaching design is clear. The teacher leads in the task step by step from the easier to the advanced. The task is closed connected with the students real life. So they are interested in it. All of them take part in the activities actively.
