She/He is thin/ She/He has long hair/ 3:What do you/they look like? Im tall/.I have a medium build/ They are thin/ They have short hair/过程与方法Through listening,speaking and reading,students can grasp the new words and phrases about somebodys appearance.情感态度与价值观Let student learn to praise other people.教学方法实物教学法,图片教学法,表演法,创设情境等。重点单词 new words语言1.What do you look like?Im thin/2.What does he/she look like?He/She is tall/难点How to use the language of talking about others image.教具教师准备录音机、磁带、图片。学生准备单词卡。教学过程Step 1:Greeting.Greet as usualStep2:Teaching new words and phrases Do you know how to describe your appearance or other peoples outward appearance?Can you speak in English?So today we learn a new unit. Unit 7:What does he look like?First, we learn new words and phrases. Please read after me.I read once,you read twice.Teach them these English words looking at their meaning and pictures twice.Step 3:Students practice.First let students read together.Then read the new words by boys and girls.Team 1.Team 2and so on.Give them a result and encourage them.Step 4:PresentationFirst I go out.Then come into the classroom in a mask.Hi.Good afternoon/morning everyone.Im Mary.I am thin/I have short hair/Step 5:Pairwork.Let students practice the conversation below show it .“What do you look like?”Im tall/ I have long hair/ Let students introduce themselves outward appearances.After practicing the dialogue.Ask some students to act out the conversation.Then give them a result and encourage them.Step 6:Play a gameWho am I?The teacher say:”Im heavy.I have small eyes.Can you guess who I am?”Show the dialogue on the slide show Encourage the first student.Give the toy to him as a gift.Step 7:PresentationFirst ask two students to the look board.The teacher say:”She is tall woman/She has straight hair/.He is heavy/.He has curly hair.Then ask another one.“What does he look like?”Step 8:Pair work.Let student practice the dialogue about other peoples out ward appearance:”What does he/she/your friend look like?He/She is medium height.He/She has curly hair/.”Ask some students to act out this dialogue.Step 9:Play a game:Help me find my friend.He is tall.He has very short hair.He wears a white shirt.Whos that?Step 10:Do exercise1:A What does your friend?B She is tall.She has curly hair.2:A What do you look like?B I am.I have a build.Step 11:listening text.Play the tape twice,(1b,Page 41).Then let students fill in the blank.Step 12:Homework.Desscribe lilys new friend.Take your family photo to the school tomorrow.板书设计Unit 7:What does he look like?1:What do you/they look like?Im short/I have short hair/2:What does he/she look like?He/she is tall/3:Likelook
