Unit 8 Is there a post office near here?Section A 1a-2b一、教学目标:1.语言知识目标: 1)掌握地点名词如:library,post office,bank等2)掌握并运用方位介词如:in front of,across from等3)复习巩固there be句型,并能在问路情境中熟练以下句型: Is there anear here? Yes,there is. Where is the ? Its There is a park across from the bank.2.情感态度与价值观目标1)学会提供帮助或者请求帮助的一些日常用语;2)知道异地旅行的时候不同的场所的不同作用。二、教学重难点1.教学重点: 1)there be句型的一般疑问句及其肯定与否定回答; 2)运用地点名词和方位介词正确描述地点的位置。2.教学难点:熟练掌握in front of,across from等方位介词,并能利用地图正确描述位置。三、教学过程I. Warming-up T comes into the classroom with a bag. T shows the bag to the class. Ss: There is a bag on the desk. T and Ss sum up: there be + n. + 在某地(在某地有某物) II. Lead-in T:Why do I bring a bag today?Because I want to go for a vacation to America.But “人生地不熟”,I need your help. III. Presentation 1. T: Now I am on Center Street. There are two other streets. What are they?Ss: Long Street. Bridge Street.T shows the map at the same time.2. T:I need to put down my bag. Where can I go? Ss: Hotel.T: Is there a hotel near here? Where is it? Then Ss point out the place on the map.Then lead out other new words just like this way. 3. bank -change money - on Long Street/behind the hotel(in front of the bank)restaurant hungry on Bridge Streetpolice station lost my phone next to the restaurant/between the restaurant and the hosptalhospital- next to the police stationpark- take a walk-across from the bankIV. Drill 1. Finish 1a.2. Read the new words. And T takes out some words from the map at the same time.3. Check memory :Ask some Ss to point out the missing words. Just use this centence: There is a police station next to the restaurant.V. Listening practiceListen to the tape and finish 2b.VI. GameT hides some word cards of places. Then ask some students to find out.When the student is looking for the words. Whole the class read the word loudly , but when the student is near the card, whole the class read it in low voices. And the student who finds out the card, has to finish the dialogue.S1: Excuse me, is there a restaurant near here ?S2: Yes, there is.S1: Where is it?S2:I
