I come from Yu Hong Primary School .I am very glad to be standing here and talking about Lesson 10 ,which is from Fun with English Book 3 Unit 2 .My teaching report includes four parts .Part 1 To analyze the book 1.There are 3 units in Book 3 . This is Lesson 10 . The central item is how to master another sentence to express “ Whats the time ? ” and how to buy something. Using “ Whats the time ? ” hungry , cakes, bread and so on . Well study and drill the sentences and the word s pronunciation .2. According to the teaching outline and combining the students situation , I make the teaching aims of this lesson as follows .a .The first is the aim of knowledge .Its to learn and master two sentences. What time is it? I am hungry and then using them to express the time and go shopping fluently and freelyb. The second is the aim of abilitiesThe creative spirit is quite important to the students. So I will pay much attention to train it in my class. Otherwise. I will try to train the students listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities, Mainly improve their communicative abilities and encourage them to speak more English.C. The third is the aim of emotion Make the students have successful feeling and achievement. And make them be in English study.3.Important pointsThe first is to master and use the two sentences. What time is it? Im hungry. The second is to master the usage of the words hungry, cakes and bread.4.Difficult points.Its the pronunciation of the two words. hungry, cakes, and how to use them fluently and freely .Part 2 . Teaching and learning methods Make the students take part in class . Ask and answer in pairs and groups . Ill use communicative method , discussing method and seeing and hearing method to teach this lesson .Part 3 . Teaching aids .In order to interest the students . Ill use a clock , recorder , cards and some food as my teaching aids .Part 4 . Teaching procedure .Step 1 Revision Before my class , Ill get the students to sing an English song to keep themselves relax . Then Ill use a clock to act it . Whats the time ? Whats the time ? Its eight oclock . Ill show three numbers . When the students answer Its ten oclock . Ill say : Its ten . Today well learn Lesson Ten . Then Ill put the clock on the blackboard .Step 2 Presentation and drill First Ill point to the clock and ask , what time is it ? Students answer Its ten . Then I go on moving the hands and ask .What time is it ?Students answer quickly .Second Ill drill the sentences What time is it ? Its - .pairs in pairs or row by row .Third When the students answer Its 12:00 oclock . Ill point to my stomach and say .Oh Im hungry .and Ill eat a cake . Then Ill go on saying Im hungry .and Ill eat another cake . Ill act it four or five times . Then I ask a student to act it . Im hungry , too . Ill say two cakes , please .and the sentences .Im hungry . Two cakes ,please. Forth :Listen to the dialogue and answer my questions.1.What time is it?2.How many cakes?Step 3 ConsolidationIll train the creative spirit of the students.Ill give them three please. To act the dialogue freely .First at the 219 Park,second fruit shop Third department store.Step4.HomeworkEncourage my student to the market to buy something with his friends or parent Background of English teaching in primary school: It is not a long history that English is as a subject in primary school in our country and the main instructional aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of their listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. Our boys and girls are exposed to English for the first time, so it is very important to develop their keen interest in English.I. Contents: Today Im going to talk about Part B of Unit 2, PEP Primary English, Book 3. This lesson includes two parts: Lets talk and lets practice. In section 1, it mainly deals with the dialogue about “Whats in the schoolbag?” and the answers. And in section 2, it provides a real situation for the Ss to prastise the pattern: How many +n.(pl.)+ do you have? And the answer: I have 23 +n.(pl.)II. Teaching aims1. Aims on the knowledge(1) To enable the Ss to understand and speak: “My schoolbag is heavy. Whats in it? Thank you sooooooo much.” Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in real situations.(2) To help Ss to finish the survey.(3) Let Ss finish the assessment of “Lets check” in this unit.2. Aims on the abilities(1) To develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking.(2) To train the Ss ability of working in groups.(3) To foster Ss abilities of communication and their innovation. 3. Aims on the emotion(1)To foster Ss consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.(2) To lead Ss to show their loveliness to the poor.III. Key-points of this lesson(1) To help Ss ask and answer the question: Whats in it? (2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. (3) To develop Ss interest in English.IV. Difficult points(1) To help the Ss ask and answer the question “Whats in it?” and make sure they can use the plural nouns cor rectly. (2) To finish the survey by themselves.V. Teaching methodsAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange four kinds of activities: singing, guessing game, finishing a survey and having a competition. And in this lesson a recorder, CAI, school things and a printed form will be needed. Students should prepare some school things.VI. Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing. Ill finish this lesson in five steps.Step 1. Warm-up and preview1. Free talk between T and Ss about things in the classroom.2. Sing the song together: Books and pencils.3. Do some TPR, for example: Show me your English book. Show me your crayon.4. Review the numbers by asking: “How many crayons do you have?” Purpose: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by singing and doing some total physical response and at the same time it provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step.Step 2. PresentationNow Ill mainly talk about this step. 1. Present the pattern: “My schoolbag is heavy.” “Whats in it?.”(1) Show a bag and say: “Look! I have a bag.” Carry it and say: “Oh, it is heavy. My schoolbag is heavy.” Help the Ss understand the meaning with the help of my body language. Then lead the Ss to read the sentence. Make sure they can say it correctly.(2) T: My schoolbag is heavy. Open the bag and say: “Whats in it? Whats in my schoolbag?”Take out a Chinese book. Then do the action again. Let the Ss read the sentence.2. Play a guessing game. Divide the whole class into four groups to have a competition. Let them guess: Whats in the bag? How many? Purpose: To present the key structures one by one is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. Proper competition can arouse the Ss interest in English learning.3. With the help of the CAI to present the dialogue. Set a situation to help Ss understand: Two Ss are coming. One girl is carrying a heavy bag on her back. They are talking.Girl: My schoolbag is heavy.Boy: Whats in it? Girl: 20 story-books, 32 pencil, 9 rulers, 12 crayons and 30 picture-books. Etc.Boy: What will you do?Girl: They are for the poor. Boy: Great! Ill bring some school things too.The boy comes back home and puts a lot of things into the bag. Then he goes to school again and gives them to a teacher. While he is taking them out, he is counting the numbers of all things. T he teacher says: Thank you soooooooo much.4. Mention that we should take care of the poor.5. Play the cassette. Let the Ss listen and imitate the dialogue. Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation. Purpose: CAI can provide a real situation for the Ss to understand the dialogue and the relationships between people better. Tell the Ss we should show our loveliness to the Ss.Step 3. PracticeDivide Ss into groups of six children. Each one would finish the printed form by asking and answering: How many storybooks do you have? Find out which group finishes faster. AssessmentHelp Ss finish “Lets check” of this unit and workbook.Purpose: To check the k nowledge Ss have learned in this period. Step 5. Add-activity1. Let Ss tell each other how many school things they have after class. Tell their parents how many school things they have at home. 2. Take care of everything they have.Purpose: Revision is so important that Ss should speak English as much as they as in class or after class. It is necessary for the Ss to do some extensive exercises after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned.By: Ma牛津小学英语5A Unit8说课稿The lesson I am going to talk about is from the first period of Unit8 in Oxford English Textbook 5A. I will describe my instructional design in seven parts.Part One About the studentsChildren in Grade Five have learnt and grasped many words and expressions from Oxford English from 3A to 4B. They can use them correctly when chatting with others. All these are belonging to the advantages of teaching and learning.Part Two Analysis of the textbookThe ultimate goal (最终目的)of Oxford English is to develop the comprehensive(综合) ability to use the language. That is to develop their four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Part Three Teaching objectives (1). Knowledge objects: Students are able to use the words and expressions to communicate with others when they are going on a camping trip.The words: a tent, a telescope, a tin opener, a pot, a stove, a blanket, a towel.The sentence structures: What do you /they have? I/We/They have What does he/she have? He/She has(2)Ability objects: namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills and comprehensive application ability of the four skills.(3) Emotional objects. Make students be aware of their own advantages and disadvantage in learning, and teach them to be willing to cooperate with others.(4) Moral education object. Teach students to love the nature.Part 4 Teaching emphases and difficulties1. The expression about camping things.2. 2The verb forms of the third personal singular form.Part 5 Teaching methods: The methodology is three P model. That is Presentation, Practice, Production.Part 6 Teaching ProcedureThe first stage is Free talk. I will play the tape. Let students listen to the song “What are you doing?” and review the present continue tense. After listening, we will talk about the picture “What are the children doing ?”I will give them the answer: They are having a camping trip. Maybe students are not familiar with the camping trip. Next show a series of pictures of the Great Nature to the students, let them telling their feeling after enjoying these pictures. Students will say they love the beautiful nature very much, so that they will be aroused the interests in learning this topic. Then well talk about the things of camping trip, according to the pictures. When I teach the words: tent, telescope, tin-opener, pot, stove, blanket, towel, I will introduce the usage. For instance, the tent is used for sleeping or having a rest and the telescope is used for watching beautiful scene and looking for a suitable, comfortable camping site. After showing all the pictures, let students read and spell the words to consolidate them. The third stage is the chant. Ill ask students to clap their hands and chant like this; blanket, blanket, I have a blanket, pot, pot, we have a pot. You have a blanket and they have a pot. It is very interesting for them to chant in rhyme. The fourth stage is playing a game. I have some things. What else do you have? Let students guess. I will give six bags. Each bag has one thing. There is a hat, a tin of fish, a water bottle, a coat, some bread, some apples. The topic of this lesson is camping trip. These things are closely related to it. I think a game will help them relax and let them learn English in a happy and gay atmosphere.On the fifth stage, I will present the sentence structures, when the students are familiar with the new words. It is the time to present the new structure. At first, I ask students to show their toys. Each student has a toy. I invite some students to answer the question“What do you have?” They will answer “I have a toy bear.”“I have” Then write the sentences on the blackboard. Then practice “You haveand I have” Let students work in pairs. After that, practice “We haveand they have” in groups. On the screen, it will give models. We know the purpose of learning English is to use English. Students should have more chances to use the language theyve learnt. So the step is employed to create a language environment for students communication in the class. The next step is further study : the third personal singular pronouns“he, she, it,”, and the verb form is “has”. It is necessary for students to practice the new structure “What does he/she have?”“He/She”After presentation, I will ask students to do the exercise: read, talk and write. Read the short passage and talk about the questions and fill in the blanks. The activity, “Fill in the blanks” helps students with writing and serves as a feedback and consolidation of the language point.The last but not the least, sing a song “What do you have?”. So if the students can learn this lesson well, it will be helpful to make the students learn the rest of this unit. This lesson is a dialogue about toys. Such topic is related to the childrens daily life. So it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English. The objective of the lesson is that the pupils can get information from their teachers, classmates and their friends. The key sentences are:1. Whats this in English?2. Do you likeThe pupils also need to recognize the singular forms and plural forms of the new words . The teacher should get the students to remember the new words in different ways.In the teaching course, the teacher should use the toys, tapes and multi-media to create the real situations and happy atmosphere. The pupils need to be encouraged the motive of communication.III Class time:30 minutesIV Teaching contentsA Sentence patterns:1.Whats this/that in English? Its a 2.Do you like?B New Words:There are four new words in this part .They are: puppets, kite, puzzle and doll.V Teaching aims1. Together with other English that they have learned before.3. Encourage the pupils to have good cooperation with each other, help each other and learn from each other. Encourage the students to use language for communication in real everyday life.VI. Difficult pointRecognizing the sentence “Do you like ”is a bit difficult for the students.VII Teaching aids1.Multi-media2.Cassette &tape recorder3.Some cards, toys, some stars award as a prize to the students.VIII Teaching preparation:Ask the students to prepare some puppets, dolls. toys, kites, puzzles.IX Teaching methodology:A ppp(端对端) lesson is used in this unit, that is Presentation, Practice and Production. First the teacher should introduce the new language well in the first phrase of the lesson. The teacher presents and teaches this language to the students by demonstrating it to them. Modeling the language, explaining it and give the students lots of practice in how to use it. Then the pupils need to have plenty of activities to help them to practice the new language. This is the practice phrase. Lastly, the students need time to use the new language they have learned in order to communicate with each other. During the Productive phrase the new language becomes part of the students own language and they should be able to use it easily, together with other English that they have learned before. IX Teaching steps:Step1 : Warming-up exercise.1. The pupils will sing an English song. We are happy bees2. A guessing game. Pupils will review some new words about toys by the game.
