Teachingaids:1、multi-media2、fruitcards 3、fruit 4、formsTeaching procedures:Step one : Warm-upT: Good morning, boys and girls. Show me your hands. Hello! Hello ! Im your new friend. My name is .? Can you guess? (Tip: my name is a kind of fruit. ) (PPT shows some fruit to help students guess.)Ss: . (Apple is right.)T: Yes! Apple is my English name. Youre so clever! Nice to meet you .(come to the students and shake hands with them.)Ss: Nice to meet you, too.Step two: Lead-inT: Whats my English name? Ss: Apple!T: Can you eat this Apple? ( point to myself) Ss: No!* Show a real apple, and ask: Can you eat this apple? Ss: Yes!Step three: Presentation* PPT shows an apple. T: Whats this? Let Ss answer it by using: Its a/an .Then look, listen and say the word. * Show the picture of apple. Ss try to point to the fruit card and say. (Ss read and touch the card, when they touch it, they win a prize.)* Compare an apple to apples by using PPT. Then listen and say. T: I like apples. ( bring the apple near the teacher) Do you like apples?* Encourage students to answer it, using: Yes, I do. ( put up a smiling face on the blackboard to help Ss understand it better.) & No, I dont. ( a sad face)* Teach pear, orange and banana in the similar way.* Memory Challenge: PPT shows the fruit quickly, let student say what .? & How many .?)* Pair work. ( students ask and answer in pairs.)Step four: Practice* PPT shows some animal friends,(panda, monkey, giraffe.) invite Ss to guess and know what fruit they like.* Lead Ss to ask: monkey, monkey, do you like .? Then monkey answers it. ( if he/she guesses right, a prize for him/her.)* Make a survey.T: Now I want to know what fruit you like and which fruit is popular? Here, lets make a survey.Group of four:Step five: Consolidation* Do you know some other fruits? And PPT shows Ss some other fruits.* A competition: (this activity needs the students and their partners to work together.)Put fifteen cards on the blackboard, (each card contains a smiling face or a sad face behind, in pairs, one student can choose one card: a pear, and asks: do you like pears? His/Her partner answers it Yes, I do. / No, I dont.
