Teaching AidsPictures of Mekong River map.V. Teaching Procedures Step 1 Lead-in and pre-reading (8mins). 1. Do you like travel? Where have you been? Some adventures? If to travel now, which kind of transport or vehicle do you prefer to choose? Draw the form and fill in the blanks according to the students answer.2. Do you know some great rivers in China? Show a map of the Mekong River .Ask students to describe its appearance. List the countries that the Mekong River flows through: China, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma, and Vietnam. 3. Let the students try to tell about something they know about these countries to mobilize their interests. Then lead to the theme of article.Step 2While-reading (26mins)1.
