Unit 8 Is there a post office near here?（第一课时）栾城区第五中学陈凤霞【设计理念】在一个陌生的环境问路、在自己熟悉的社区、景区向别人指路是青少年经常遇到的情景。这种话题学生感兴趣，并有话可说，在问路、指路的对话练习中熟悉多个方位词的用法、多个建筑物名称。教师在本单元应该围绕“问路、指路”这一话题展开，设计一些任务型活动，以给学生一个训练、提高的机会。【教学目标】1. 基本目标 能听、说、读、写以下单词：post, office, police, station, hotel, restaurant, bank, hospital, street, pay, pay phone, near, across, front, behind, town, north, along, turn, right, turn right, left, turn left, crossing, enjoy, easily, road, spend, climb, around, air, sunshine, free, money 能听、说、理解以下单词：neighborhood, straight, yours能理解、会用下面的词组：across from, next to, in front of, on the right/left,2. 能力目标学会用there be表达存在，学会问路、指路，介绍建筑物之间的位置关系、向别人介绍自己居住的社区周围的建筑，并能利用地图准确地寻找某一建筑物的位置。3. 情感目标遇到别人有困难时，热情礼貌地提供帮助。【课时安排】5课时第一课时【教学内容】section a： 1a，1b， 1c， 2a，2b， 2c, 2d【教学要求】通过本节课教学让学生学会is there a? there be；its 结构，鼓励学生大胆表达。【教学思路】本课教师要根据听说领先的原则，运用图片、多媒体等教学手段，让学生通过直观的体验，学会本课时所出现的目标语言，为进一步学习后面的内容打下基础。通过播放录音并根据录音进行小组活动，这样既能训练学生的听力和口语，也能激发学生学习的积极性。【教学准备】辅助教学使用的图片、简笔画、录音机、多媒体等。【教学流程】认识下列地方show some pictures below. post office hotel restaurant bank police station pay phone street hospital park看图片，教师带领学生拼读单词，通过小组内相互检查、教师抽查等多种形式让学生熟悉以上单词。可以用下面的方式操练：s1：whats this?s2：its the/a post office.（通过这种方式激发了学生的学习积极性，同时又很自然地引出了本课的目标单词和目标句型。）引入新授1. 1a match the words with the places in the picture (1) let the students finish the task quickly by themselves, the teacher check the answer.
