He/She is tall. He/She has curly hair. What do you/they look like? Im thin. /Theyre of medium height.3. 语法: look like的问句及回答。 wear的一般现在时用法。 用于描述外貌的形容词。(二)语言技能目标:1能熟练的用英语对人外表的特点进行描述2能概括人物的外貌特征并根据人物特征推理出某一人物。3能掌握本课出现的表示人外观的词组及句型,用这些词组及句型描述别人的外表,为英语写作做铺垫。(三)情感态度目标:2学会赏识他人,懂得不要以貌取人【教学重难点】通过学习语言材料,让学生获得运用所学的有关词汇、短语及句型,描述人的外貌特征,并能结合实际生活进行灵活运用的能力。(一)重点:1. 词汇hair, height, build, beard, glasses, look,short, tall, medium, thin, heavy, blonde, brown, curly, straight2. 句型:What does he/she look like?He/She is tallWhat do you look like?Im thin. I have short hair.What do they look like?Theyre medium height. They have long curly hair.(二)难点:1has与is的正确使用。2Wear的正确使用。3描述人的外貌。【教学过程】 Period 1 Section A (1a-1c)Step 1. Warming-up 1.Talk about the topic picture2.Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a)and point out the sample answer. (Keys: c, f, a, a, d, h, e, b, g, e) 3.Listen to 1b,and check the answerStep 2. Presentation1.Describe peoples looks/ appearance 外貌(a photo of Yang Zi)2.Study the new words and the sentencesWords:tall, of medium height,short, heavy, thin, of medium build,hair.Sentences: What does she look like? She is tall. She has long curly blonde hair. She has long straight black hair. He has short curly brown hair. What does he look like? He is bald. He has a beard. He wears a hat. Step 3.Talk about the language points and fill in the blanks after talking in groupsLanguage points:like可以用作及物动词,意为“喜欢”,后面可以接名词或代词作宾语。如:。Do you like him? 你喜欢他吗?但在本单元里like是介词,意为“像;像一样”。如:He is like his father. 他像他的父亲。look like 意为“看起来像”。如:That man looks like a teacher. 那个人看起来像个老师。要询问“某人的外貌”就应该用下面这个句型:What does . look like?回答时应说出某人的外貌特征。如:He is very tall. 他个子很高。She has long hair. 她头发很长。He is short and fat.他又矮又胖。描述相貌通常有三个句型:1:主语 + be + 形容词 主语 + be + of +形容词 + 名词。用于描述某人的外形,即体形、身高、胖瘦等。2:主语 + have / has + 形容词 + 名词。用于描述某人的相貌特征,即具体的五官相貌等。3:主语 + wear(s) + glasses / clothes。用于描述某人戴眼镜及所穿衣物等。Step4.Pair work: Make a conversation according to four students looksStep5:Pair work: Make a conversation about some stars looks between neighbors Step 6. Guessing game: Show a passage about one of the student s looks,and guess who he/she isStep 7. Guessing game:Everyone describes one of the students looks,and the others guess who he/she is Step 8. 总结:本节课学会了那些描绘外貌的词汇:.询问某人体貌特征的常用句型:.Step9.Show three pictures,tell the students not to judge a person by his or her looks.Step 10. Homework1. 对照学习目标 ,掌握本课的重点句型和词汇。2. 根据本课所学内容,描述你的家人的外貌。提示:注意人称的变化。3.预习下一课时的内容。
