Ss can talk with other people about weather.Teaching Key Points:1.Master key phrases, words and sentence structure “How is the weather?”.2.Target language.Teaching Difficulties:Describe the weather and activities using the present progressive tense.Teaching Procedures:Step 1. Warming-up and Lead-in1. Let Ss listen to a song “Sunshine Girl” 2. T: Do you like this song?T: Do you know the song? Ss: 阳光女孩T: Yes. What kind of sound do you hear in this song?Ss :sunny , sunshine ,sunT: Yes. Its sunny in this song. Today well learn Unit 7.Step 2. Presentation1. Let Ss learn new words and phrases:New words and phrases :weather ,cook ,bad ,park ,message ,take a message ,him ,could ,back ,call (sb) back ,problem2. Show some picturesT: Hows the weather in the picture?Ss: Its sunny.(In the same way, finish teaching the words “sun, cloud, wind, rain, snow ”,“windy, cloudy, raining, snowing”)Step3 Work on 1a1.Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures. 2. Check the answers. Step 4. Listening1b. Listen and write these city names in the boxes above.(Before listening, show pictures of the five cities and teach the places. Get Ss to familiar with these places .And improve Ss listening skill.)Step 5. Pair work1c. Imagine you are in one of the places.
