Unit 8 Is there a post office near here?Section B 1a-1d 教学设计一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:1) 能掌握以下单词:along, go along, turn, right/left, turn right /left, crossing, neighborhood, road2) 能掌握以下句型: Is there a post office near /around here? Go along/up /down the street /road. Turn right / left at the first crossing. Its on the/ your right / left. 2 能力目标: 通过本课学习,学生能看懂老师所提供的英文地图,增强方向感,用英语简单问路和指路。3. 情感态度价值观目标: 通过本课的学习,能正确地运用运用简单的问路和引路的交际用语,学会礼貌用语,融洽与他人的关系,感谢他人,培养学习习惯,学会相互合作,培养乐于助人的精神。2、 学情分析:七年级的学生已经学过句型: Where is ? Its in/on/under/ 指路问路对地点特征描述都可以用到上述的词汇和句型。具有了学习本课知识的认知前提,能自然地与本节课的话题进行衔接。注意充分利用学生已有的基础,创设了贴近生活的情境,将难点、重点巧妙化解于各种形象的图片,视频、竞赛及生活化的情境中,充分激活学生思维,达到真正运用语言的能力。 三、教学重难点1. 教学重点:掌握本课的方向词汇和问路与指路交际用语。2. 教学难点:正确运用不同方法指路的表达方式。四、教学用具:多媒体,课件(听力录音、视频和图片)和课室的假想街道标识。五、教学过程Step1. Warming- up and revision1. Watch a flash “in, on, under.”(播放方位介词视频来增强课堂气氛,调动学生积极性)2. Fill in the blanks withthewords “in, on , in front of.”(看地图,通过口头完成方位介词填空,对上节课知识的复习,引出学生对进一步问路知识的兴趣,轻松达到热身并引入本课主题的效果,) Look at the picture. Theres a school in the picture. Its_ School Street. The restaurant is _ the school. The bank is _ _ the school. The pay phone is_ the school the hospital. Can you see the post office? Its _ _the school. There is a police station. Its _ _ _ the park.(Keys: 1. on 2.behind 3.next to 4.between 5.and 6.across from 7.in front of)Step 2. Learn the new words1.板书:Unit 8 Is there a post office near here? Section B 1a-1d2. Show the pictures . Learn the new words.(利用多媒体展示不同的方向标示,如箭头和图标,形象的引出几个不同的指路新短语,浅显易懂,使学生更好掌握,然后让学生结合课室街道标识,反复练习这几个短语。) Main words: crossing, go/walk along/straight, go up/down, left, turn left, right, turn right Ask the students to try to pronounce one by one, then the teacher correct it.Step 3. Practice1. Look at 1a. The teacher asks the Ss who could put the three phrases into English, then let the Ss match the words in the box with the signs, and see who does the best and most quickly.2. Teach: on your/the right, on your/the left3. Show a map, and then teach: street /road, at the first /second crossing. Ask and answer the way to the hospital. Finally, Ss read aloud the passage.Eg. A: Excuse me. Is there a hospital near/around here? B: Yes, there is. Just go along this road and turn right at first crossing. Go down Center Street and its on the right. Step 4. ListeningLook at 1b and 1c.1. Tasks the Ss to listen and write the correct place for each letter in the picture.2. Listen again. Fill in the blanks and then check the answers.Step 5. Group work Showamapandaskstudentstomakeconversations (1d).1. Divide the Ss into groups. Each group has two students. 2. T: Now please imagine you and your partner are the two people in the map. Makeconversations with your partner.Step 6. Pair work (利用课室假想的街道标识,实际操作问路和指路用语,达到学以致用的效果。)T:Excuse me. Im afraid I got lost.
