chief executive in August because of his health He died a day after the company released a new iPhone version that met with limited excitement Steve left behind a company that only he could have built and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple President Obama said in a statement by building one of the planet s most successful companies from his garage Steve Jobs exemplified the spirit
