Unit 7 Seeing a doctor 教学设计一、教材分析本课授课的教材选自人民教育出版社英语走向未来第一册第八单元第98页-99页的内容。这部分内容主要是学会打电话,学会预约看病和拨打急救电话。45分钟,一个课时的时间。二、学情分析该班是高技工班一年级学生,全是男生,比较活跃、调皮,英语基础总体比较薄弱,且差异较大。这个班级除了平时的文化课学习还会穿插操作车床,打制某些零件的实训。之前该班学生已经完成这个单元的热身部分,也就是日常生活中的health problems 和相应的处理意见。本节课的重点内容放在常见疾病症状描述、预约看病和拨打急救电话上。本节课的教学设计通过引入任务驱动机制和小组合作学习的方法,充分调动学生学习积极性,挖掘学生自主学习潜能,引导学生参与课堂教学活动。在任务的设计上本堂课注重任务难度系数的层层递进和各个层次的学生学习的需求,以点带面,让每个学生在自己原有的基础上都学有所长。二、课时说明:1课时,45分钟 三、教学详案:(一)教学目标:1. 知能目标1)Enable students to use some new words and phrases, such as have a backache, have the flu, have a headache and make an appointment with the doctor. 2)Enable students to talk about the health problem and to make an appointment with the doctor in English.3) Enable students to know how do deal with some emergencies. 2、过程目标1) To train students imitative ability.2) To train students ability to search for the information.3、情感目标: 1) To train students team work spirit by working in groups. 2) Enable students to be aware of the importance of health.(二)教学重点 : 1. Students can use new expressions to talk about health problems. 2. Show students some pictures and ask them, “What is wrong with him/ her?”2. Ask pairs of students to do the performance: act and guess.One student act and the other students should say whats wrong with him/ her.3. What should we do if there is something wrong with our body? 1. Answer the questions and learn the following phrases: have a headache, have a backache,have a stomachachehave a coughhave a fever2. Do the performance采用图片和表演猜词游戏创设愉悦的课堂气氛,这样既可以调动学生的积极性,消除学生紧张心理,也为下面活动开展做好情感铺垫。同时引出了看病的话题。Step IIModel 2 Reading and listening101. Ask the students to read the model 2 on p.98 and try to answer the following questionsa. Whats wrong with Liu Min?b. When will he go to the doctors?2. Listen to the dialogue and fill in the blanks.A: Doctor Bakers office. How can I _ you?B: This is Liu Min. I need to make an _. I hurt my _.A: On, I am sorry. _ _ tomorrow at 9:30.B: Tomorrow at 9:30? Thats fine. _ _ _.A: Feel _.B: Thanks a lot.1. Read the conversation and try to answer the questions.2. Listen to the tape and try to fill in the blanks.通过阅读对话,找出相关信息,锻炼学生搜索和提炼信息的能力。通过听磁带完成对话内容填空,加深学生对打电话预约看病这个对话的语言点印象。为后文编对话做铺垫。Step IIIDiscussion 5Ask students to discuss in group and complete the following task.Suppose you are the doctor, after you have examined Liu Min, what advice you will give him.Discuss the question in groups of four and try to solve the problem.这个任务的设计具有一定的开放性,又与学生生活实际联系紧密,通过这个任务的讨论和总结既巩固本课堂所学的知识,丰富学生的常识,同时也锻炼了其团队协作的精神。Step IVModel 3 Make a 911 call.51. Ask the students if the illness is very serious or if we meet with the accidents, what should we do? 2. What should we say if we make a 911 call?(what/ where/ how: need an ambulance or a fire a truck)3. Ask students to read the dialogue of model 3 and try to find out useful sentences when we make a 911call.Try to answer the questions with the teachers guidance.引出打急救电话的话题,并通过设置问题引导学生根据本身具备的常识去主动寻找打急救电话的英语表达,让学生从一个旧的知识点出发主动去探索新的知识点。Step V Create a new dialogue.151. Ask the students to look at the picture on P.99 and try to find out: a. What can you see in the picture? (a nurse/ doctor; a man/ the father; a girl/a daughter) b. Whats wrong with the girl? (Maybe she has a fever.)2. Show students some useful sentence patterns and ask them to create two new dialogues and then act it out.Situation 1. At daytime, Mary has a bit of fever, so her father makes an appointment with the Doctor Baker. The time is tomorrow 9:30 AM.Situation 2. At midnight, Mary becomes serious and has a high fever, so his father has to call 911.1. Answer the questions.2. Create the dialogue in groups of 4. One is the daughter, one is the father, one is the nurse and the last is to write down the dialogue.3. Act the dialogue out.真实情境的设计激发了学生的兴趣,调动学生的积极性,同时强化学习的内容,培养学生的写作能力和口头表达能力。Step VISummary31. Review the phrases and sentence patterns learned in the class根据对话表演得分规则,评出对话表演最好的小组。巩固本堂课所需掌握的语言要点。Step VIIHomework1任务一、分层布置:(基础薄弱的学生要求)课后完善上课时编的对话并掌握重点单词和词汇;基础较好的学生除掌握所学词汇和句型外,要求能脱稿表演所编对话。任务二、Find out what the following numbers stand for. 911; 999; 110; 120; 119;122作业一的分层布置让不同层次的学生在课外都有值得完成并可能完成的任务。作业二设计原因:书本呈现的急救电
