Lets go at ten./OK! Why not to at ten?/All right. .交际英语: May I come then? What time shall I come? Work must come first. Shall we go to the park? When/where shall we meet? Which animal do you like best? Would you like to come to supper? I would love to! Lets make it(half past one). I have quite a lot of homework to do. I dont think chickens can swim.指点迷津单元重点词点拨 1.shall(我,我们)将要 I shall arrive tomorrow.我明天到。 I shall be fourteen next year.明年我14岁了。 【点拨】该词也作情态动词,用于Shall I(we)?中,表示征求对方的意思。如: Shall we have a talk?我们谈谈好吗? Shall I open the window?要我开窗吗? 2.past超过,经过 What time is it?Its half past eight.现在几点钟了?八点半。 He walked past the house.他走过了那房子。 【点拨】该词为介词,不同于动词past“经过”。pass作名词表“过去”。in the past在过去,in the past few years在过去的几年里。试比较: He walked past me.他走过我身边。 He passed by me.他从我身边走过。 3.finish完成,结束 Can you finish the work on time?你能按时完成工作吗? I must finish my homework first.我必须首先做完的家庭作业。 【点拨】该词后可以+ing形式作宾语。如: Have you finished reading the text?你读完课文了吗? 4.no没有 It has no feet or legs.它没有脚也没有腿。 The poor boy had no money for books.那个可怜的小男孩子没钱买书。 【点拨】该词亦可作副词表“不,不是”,用来修饰形容词或副词,它不同于副词not修饰动词。如: He could walk no faster because he was tired.他走得不快,因为他累了。 He is no better than he was yesterday.他并不比昨天好。 5.animal动物 What kind of animal do you like best?你最喜欢什么动物? The elephant is the largest four-footed animal.大象是四足动物中最大的动物。 【点拨】该词的对应词“植物”为plant。panda熊猫,elephant大象,nonkey猴子。 6.live居住,生活 Where does he live?他住在哪里? He lives near the factory.他住在工厂附近。 【点拨】该词为不及物动词,前面需加介词in后再加宾语。life生活,生命,是名词。如: They live a happy life.他们过着幸福的生活。 7.inside在里面 He stayed inside the house all day.他整天呆在屋里。 【点拨】该词亦可作副词表“在里面,在内部,在之内”,反义词是outside。 There is nothing inside.里面什么也没有。单元词组思维运用 1.a lot of 许多,大量 I have quite a lot of homework to do.我有许多作业要做。 He has a lot of stamps.他有许多邮票。 Theres still a lot of snow in the garden.花园里仍然有大量的雪。 【提示】该词组既可修饰可数名词,也可修饰不可数名词,还可写成lost of。 2.have a good time玩得很愉快 They are having a good time.他们玩得很开心。 Did you have a good time at the birthday party?你们的生日聚会玩得愉快吗? 【提示】此词组前冠词a/an不可省略。 3.be good at擅长什么 He is very good at English.他擅长英语。 Some boys are good at boating.一些男孩擅长划船。 【提示】be good to sb.对某人好。 4.have a look(at)看一看 Pass me your book,Let me have a look.把你的书递给我,让我看一看。 I want to have a look at your photo.我想看一下你的照片。 【提示】该短语相当于take a look at或look at. 5.have no idea不知道 You have no idea how worride we have been.你不知道我们有多么着急。 【提示】相当于dont know,如果后面加宾语,该词组常先加of,然后再加宾语或者直接加宾从句。 6.the Reads里德一家 【提示】在英语中,在姓的复数形式前加the,是指一家或夫妇俩。如:the Greens格林一家,the Browns布朗一家,the Lis李家。二、学海导航学法指要单元句型思维明晰 1.Shall I /we?一般疑问句句型 Shall I open the window?要我把窗子打开吗? Shall we go to the park?我们去公园怎么样? 注意:Shall I/We?是一般疑问句句型,在此表示说话人征求对方的意见或向对方提建议,表示“好吗?”“要不要”之意。 Shall open the window?=Do you want me to open the window? Shall we go to the park?=Lets go to the park,shall we? 另外,shall作为助动词,可用于第一人称的将来时态中。在将来一般时态中,shall后接动词原形。如: I shall come back tomorrow.明天我将回来。 2.Lets 祈使句句型 Lets make it a little earlier.(让)我们早一点吧! 注意:Lets=Let us。Lets是祈使句句型之一,它也表示建议或征求对方的意见。如: Lets have something to drink.我们喝点什么吧! Lets make it some other time.我们再约定时间吧! Lets make it at ten oclock.我们就订在十点钟,行吗? 注意:make在这里是“约定,决定”的意思。 3.Why not+动词原形 Why not go at ten?为什么不十点钟去呢? 注意:“Why not+动词原形”的结构常用来提出建议。这是一个省略句,其完整的句子是:Why dont you go at ten?如: Why not go there tomorrow?为什么不明天到那儿去? 4.I dont think我不认为 I dont think chickens can swim.我认为鸡不会游水。 注意:如果谓语动词think后面的句子是否定形式,一般要将否定形式移到think上。这种语序与汉语不同,要特别留意。如: I dont think he can come tomorrow.我想他明天不会来。(不能译成:我不认为他明天会来。) I dont think it is going to rain.我认为不会下雨。 I dont think thats a good idea.我认为那不是个好主意。 We dont think she can do it.我们认为她干不了这件事。单元难点疑点释疑 1.Meimei,are you free next Tuesday evening?梅梅,下星期二晚上你有空吗? I think so.Why?我想有空。有什么事吗? 1)一些时间名词前如果有修饰词,则不用介词。如:Sunday evening 星期天晚上,tomorrow morning明天早晨,last year去年,next week下周,this month本月。 2)I think so.中的so是指I think I am free next Tuesday evening.so在这里是代词,用来代替上文中所谈到的内容,以免重复。如: Are you going to have a swim?你打算游泳去吗? I think so.我打算去。 2.Would you like to come to supper?你想来吃晚餐吗? Oh,thank you! I would love to.嗯,谢谢。我很想来。 1)这里“Would you like to”与“Do you want to”意义相同,表示邀请他人,但“Would you like”较为客气。 2)I would love to=Id love to,它与I would like to 用法相同,但前者比后者语气强。 I would like to也可说成Id like to. 3.What time shall I come?我什么时候来呢? 一般将来时是由“助动词Will+动词原形”构成。Shall是助动词,它与动词原形一起,构成一般将来时,表示“将要干”。在口语中,将I will 缩写为Ill,will not简写为wont。在疑问句中,主语为第一人称时,常用助动词Shall。如: When shall we begin our class?我们将什么时候上课? I shall write to you next week.下周我将写信给你。 Shall we get some food?我们去弄一些食物好吗? 4.We have our evening meal at about a quarter past six.我们大约六点一刻吃晚餐。 1)have our evening meal与have supper意义相同。have用法较为灵活,可与很多名词一起构成动词短语。如:have a look看一看,have breakfast吃早饭,have lunch吃午饭,have a rest休息一会儿,have a good time玩得很愉快。 2)at about a quarter past six大约在六点一刻。在具体的时间前面,用介词at,如:at four oclock在四点钟。在具体的某一天前,用介词on。如:on Monday在周一,on the first day of this week在本周第一天。 5.But I must ask my parents first.但是得先问问我的父母亲。 1)must是情态动词,这里是“必须”的意思。情态动词后一定要跟动词原形。如: You must be patient with your children.你应当对你的孩子们耐心些。 You must finish your homework this evening.今晚你必须完成家庭作业。 2)ask sb.to do sth.要求某人干某事,ask sb.about sth.问某人关于某事 The teacher asked us to clean the classroom.老师叫我们打扫教室。 Please ask her about the fashion show.请问问她关于时装表演会的情况。 6.Why dont you come a little earlier?为什么不早一点来呢? 这是一种表示建议的提问方式。如: Why dont you listen to American songs?为什么不听一听美国歌曲呢? Why dont you have a cup of coffee?为什么不喝杯咖啡呢? 7.I have quite a lot of work to do.我有很多作业要做。 quite a lot of 表示“很多,相当多”。如: I have quite a lot of things to tell you.我有很多事情要告诉你。 I have quite a few friends.我有很多朋友。 8.Work must come first!a工作第一 first是“首先,第一”的意思,at first也表示“首先”,与之相对的是at last最后。如:At first,I have something important to tell you.首先,我告诉你们有一些重要的事情。 At last,he washed all his clothes.他终于将他所有的衣服都洗完了。 9.Ive no idea.我不知道。 Ive no idea与I dont know意义相同。如: Will Mrs Black come tomorrow?布莱克太太明天来吗? Sorry,Ive no idea.对不起,我不知道。 What are you going to do on Monday?星期一你们打算干什么? Ive no idea.我还没想好。 10.Shall we go to the park?我们去公园好吗? 1)Shall we?是表示建议的一种方式。如: Shall we meet outside the gate?我们在大门外见面,好吗? Shall we go to dance?我们去跳舞好吗? 2)对这类问题的肯定回答:OK./Good idea./All right./Sure./Id love to/Certainly.等。否定回答:Sorry,Im afraid I cant./No,thanks. 11.Lets make it a little earlier.我们早一点来吧。 1)Lets表示建议,如: Lets go to school.我们上学去吧。 Lets have a rest.我们休息一会儿吧。 2)make在这里有“约定,商定”的意思。 Lets make it at four oclock.我们定在四点钟好吗? Lets make it a little earlier.我们早一点吧。 3)在形容词的比较级前,可用much,a little等来修饰,用来表示程序。如:a little earlier 早一点,a little longer长一点,a little later迟一点,much longer长得多,much better好得多。 12.表示建议的几种方式: Lets让我们/Would you like你愿意?/Shall we我们好吗?/Why not为什么不?/What about怎么样? 13.Which animal do you like best?你最喜欢哪种动物? likebest表示“最喜欢”。如: Which subject do you like best?你最喜欢哪门功课? I like you best.我最喜欢你。 14.Theyre having a good time.他们正玩得愉快。 have a good time与enjoy oneself意思相同,表示“玩得高兴,过得愉快”。如: They had a good time yesterday.他们昨天玩得很愉快。 He enjoyed himself all his life.他一生活得很愉快。 15.Do English People like boating?英国人喜欢划船吗? 1)句中动词like后面既可以接动名词,也可以接不定式。接动名词表示经常性、习惯性的动作,而接不定式则表示某一次具体的动作。 2)boat既可以作名词,也可以作动词。作名词时当“小舟,小船”讲,作动词时当“划舟,划船”讲。如: Do you like to boat?你喜欢划船吗?(作动词) My father has a boat.我的父亲有一只小船。(作名词) 16.What does that boat look like?那只小船像什么? 句中look like是“看起来像”的意思。如: He looks like his father.他看起来像他父亲。 It looks like a fish.它看起来像条鱼。 17.Oh,Can you hear some animals?嗨!你听得见动物的叫声吗? hear是“听见”的意思,它强调动作的结果;Listen to则是“听”的意思,强调动作或过程。如: “Listen to me!”Said the teacher.“听我讲!”老师说。 I could hear nothing.我什么也听不见。 18.Theyre running and jumping all the time.他们一直在跑和跳。 all the time是“一直”的意思。如: The workers are working all the time.工人们一直在工作。 19.What和which的用法 what和which两个都是疑问代词,what什么,which哪一(个),但它们的用法是有区别的。现在进行一些比较说明: 1)what通常用于没有选择范围或范围较大的场合,意思是“什么”。如: What will you have for breakfast?早餐你想吃点什么?(没有选择范围) What is the largest animal in the world?世界上什么动物最大?(animal这一范围较大) 2)which通常用于可供选择的东西是有限制的。如: which is the best season of the year?一年中哪一个季节最好?(有四个选择对象) which will you have,tea or coffee?你要喝些什么,茶还是咖啡?(有两种选择对象) 3)which也可用来指人。如: which of them swims fastest?他们中谁游泳游得最快?(选择限于在them中进行) Which student is cleverer,Tom or Jack?汤姆和杰克,谁比较聪明?(选择在两人中进行)妙文赏析(1)A Cheap Meal A man went into a restaurant and sat down at one of the tables.
