How have you changed since you started junior high school? Ive become much better at speaking English. What are you looking forward to? Im looking forward to going to senior high school.教学难点:对过去事情的描述和回顾。SectionA(2a-2c)Step1 Revision Ask the class to say something about : What do you remember most at junior high school? I remember I have learnt I like class because I think I like teacher most because he/sheStudents say something about that and then they can write some key sentences on the blackboard.Such as I have learned to play basketball. I have learned to play ping-pong. I have learned to sing many English songs.I have learned to write.I remember having breakfast at 6:30 every morning.I remember getting up early.I remember being late for school.Step2 Presentation Show the memories of some students: Yang Yongjie didnt like P.E.But Zhang Zhihai like P.E. teacher very much.He thinks he is great and kind,he always gave them clear instructions so that the class would be safe when playing sports.He likes Mr Shens teaching methods.One day, the monitor hurt his leg, Mr Shen told him to take a break from running.Wan Niankang once wrote a letter to the band Maroon 5 about his dream of hearing them play at our school, and they offered to come,so he remember the concert played at school. Tan Xiaotian thinks there was a lot of hard work and Junior high has been fun at school.Step3 Listening practice Students all concentrate on that and then I say : Luke Brian and Lisa are talking about the life at school,what facts are they talking about ?Listen and finish the following task.First let students read the facts and then play the recording and then check the facts. Ask students to read the questions in 2b.Who wants to study medicine?Who told someone to take a break from running?Who hurt his or her knee?Who thinks the Thats Life concert is the best memory?Then play the recording and match each question with the name of the person.Check the answers.Step 4 Oral PracticeAsk students to role-play a conversation in groups using the information in 2a and 2b.Then choose some of them to present the conversations.Step5 DiscussWhat do you remember about your teachers?Which teachers do you like best?Which teachers do you member most?Students may speak out the express the opinions such like:I like Chinese teacher most because Miss Huang is beautiful and clever.I like P.E. teacher most because Mr Shen is handsome.I like English teacher most because Ms Huang is strict and kind.I likeI say: May you say something to thank your teachers?(Maybe they all say “Yes”)So How can you express your grateful feelings?How about making some cards . Then show some cards made by 5 or 6 students in our class, they are Miss Wang Miss Luo. Miss Yang.Miss Tan and Miss Zhang. They are all surprised. Then I will say:How about making at least one card for each teacher
