Teaching Procedures Step1.Greeting and lead-in. After greeting the students, let them watch a cartoon and remember the foods. Then lead in the new words. Step2. New words learning. 1.Show some pictures and learn some new words in this lesson. 2.Show the pictures of the foods. Then look at the pictures then say the words out. 3.Let the students look at the screen and chant. This can consolidate the new words they have just learnt. 4.Let the students look at 1a ,match the words with the foods. Check the answers. Step3.Listening and doing pairwork. 1.Show students Mary Noodle House,tell them there are three specials there.Then introduce them.Learn the sentence structures“What kind of noodles would you like?” “Id like.noodles.” 2.Do 1b. Listen and check the noodles that the person orders. 3.Let students work in pairs to make their special noodles. Ask some pairs to present their conversations. Step4.Listening(2a,2b) 1.Learn the sentence structures: What size bowl of noodles would you like? Id like a small / medium / large bowl of noodles. 2.Do 2a and 2b. Play the tape for the first time ,let students listen carefully and check the names of the foods they hear. Check the answers. Listen again. Complete the sentences in 2b. Check the answers. 3.Role play. Make students act in groups of four as the waiter and the Customers. Show some useful expressions to help them. Then ask some groups to act out their conversations in front of us.4. Show some unhealthy food, and tell students that eating healthy food is good for their health. Step5.Summary. Today, we have learnt some new words and sentences,please remember them after class. Step6. Homework. 1.After class,cook delicious noodles for your parents . 2.Make a survey.
