Teaching Procedures Step 1: Greeting students as usual Step 2: Revision Ask some students to translate some phrases or spell some words they learned last period Step 3: Lead-in OK, last class we learned about where you went on vacation. Do you want to know where Grace, Kevin, Julie went on vacation? Now lets listen to the tape to know where they went. Step 4: Listening(2a,2b)1. Listen to the tape the first time and complete the chart. Before listening, the teacher tells students to listen to the key words.2. Listen to the tape again .Before listening ,ask students the meaning of each phrase in 2b.3.Listen to the tape the third time and ask students to check the answers.Step5: Pair work 2cAsk students to work in pairs to make a conversation like 2c according to the material in 2a and 2b.Step 6 : Now we have known where they went on vacation. We have two friends, Rick and Helen lets see where they went on vacation. Give students 1 minute to read the passage . Then ask some students to say where Rick and Helen went on vacation. At last, let students read the dialogue by all kinds of ways. Then teacher leads students to analyze the dialogue sentence by sentence.
