Good morning, everyone. In order to present my lesson clearly, I will explain my lesson plan in the following parts: My lesson plan concludes six parts: 1 .Analysis of the Teaching Material。 The material that I am going to say is the 1st period(Section A,1a-1c) of unit 5”If you go to the party, you will have great time”. The topic of this unit is about making decision. The topic is related to daily life of students, so it is helpful to stimulate students learning interest. The main idea of this lesson is to develop students language skills in listening and speaking. It also aims to develop students abilities of communicating and representing with each other. 2. Analysis of the students The students have already learned the simple future tense and the simple present tense. And they already knew something about all kinds of forms of these 2 tenses. But for some students poor in oral English, it will be a little difficult for them to practice the sentence pattern of “if+will”. And they may also get a little confused about the usage of these two tenses.3. Analysis of the Teaching Aims and Demands. According to my understanding of the material, I establish the following teaching aims: (1).Knowledge goals To learn the structure“if+will”. (if adverbial clause) To learn the new words of Unit5. (2).Ability goals To train students ability of listening, speaking To train students ability of communicating and integrating skills (3)Moral goals To raise the learning interest of students. To enable the students to take an active part in all kinds of activities in an English class. 4. Analysis of the Teaching Important and Difficult Points (1). Teaching Important Points To learn the new words To learn to talk about consequences. (2). Teaching Difficult Points To master the new structures To put the new words and sentence structure into practice in group 5. Analysis of the teaching methods and learning methods (1).Teaching methods: task-based activities and the situational approach. (2). Learning methods: Co-operative learning, pair work and group work (3). Teaching equipment: tape recorder 6 Analysis of the Teaching Procedures Step1.Warm-up (1).Greeting (2). Check the task words (3). Learn the new words Step2.Presentation (1).Ask questions to lead in. Talk about something in our daily school life-the ways to schoolQ1: If you get up late, what will happen? Possible answer: miss the busQ2: If you miss the bus, what will happen? Possible answer: be late for schoolQ3: If you are late for school, what will happen? Possible answer: clean the classroomThis activity can catch the students attention and make them be interested in the new lesson. (2) Observe and discuss the structure. Repeat the above the conditions and the consequences, and at the same time, blackboard the sentences.If you get up late, you will miss the busIf you miss the bus, you will be late for schoolIf you are late for school, the teacher will ask you to clean the classroom. Ask some students to observe the sentences on the blackboard and find out the structure. With further observation, ask students to try to give a general conclusion about the tenses in the main and subordinate clause. If necessary, the teacher will give proper supplements and emphasize the tenses. And blackboard the new structure “if will.” as the learning goal. Then give some Chinese-English translation practice. This step can be finished with the help of the students.(3).Listening 1a,1b consolidate the sentence structure in the step of listening. The listening practice is not difficult for them. And predict the answers before listening will be good for them to understand the material.(4).Speaking Pairwork: (1c) this step is designed to improve the ability of their oral English. Its mainly for the students poor in oral English. The easy task may help them to be confident and interested in the class and be more active in the following activity.Groupwork: (ability enhancement) Give a situation: suppose you and your friends will go to a school party. What will you think about? The clothes? How to get there? What to bring?.If necessary, give them a sample conversation. Ask each group to make their own conversation. It should include the conditions and consequences. During this step, in order to focus other students attention, I will give them some tasks as a listening training while other group are performing their dialog. For example, I will ask some students to answer questions related to the information in the conversation. This can not only focus their attention but also help them adapt to different listening environments. Step3. Consolidate and Summary Let the students write about what their said and make a summary about what they learned. It can consolidate the knowledge that the student learned. Step4. Homework (1).
