教学设计基本信息名称八下 Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?Period 1(Section A 1a-2c)执教者怀来县南水泉中学 赵晓霞课时1教材分析本单元围绕“Chores(家务活)”开展教学活动,学习如何用情态动词could礼貌地提出请求、如何礼貌地请求允许自己做某事,并做出得体的回答;学习如何写留言条以请求他人的帮助。本课内容是八年级下册英语教材第3单元的第一课时。是一节听说课,重点在于培养学生的听说能力。特别要求学生在请求别人做某事、请求别人允许做某事时使用礼貌用语。主要任务是讲解一些与家务有关的短语如dothedishes, foldtheclothes等等,本节课的生词较少,而且单词的拼写比较简单,所以学生学起来不会感到困难。其次便是Couldyouplease/CouldI?句型的问答。学生在此之前已初步掌握了Canyou?/CanI?提出请求和建议,为本课学习打下了铺垫。学情分析八年级学生学习积极性有所下降,注意力容易分散。因此,在教学过程中我精心设计各种游戏活动,给学生展示丰富多彩的画面,从而增强学生的兴趣和唤起他们的注意力,进而充分调动学生的学习积极性和主动性。同时,谈论家务的话题来自学生的生活经历,与学生的生活紧密相连,使得学生在各个活动中有话说。八年级的学生之前已初步掌握了Canyou?/CanI?提出请求和建议,容易掌握本单元内容。另外,能够在学习中受到爱的教育,学会爱父母,爱家庭,爱劳动,学会如何与人交往,学会表达自己对事情的看法,使他们的个性得到张扬。教学目标知识与能力目标知识目标:1.重点词汇:rubbish, fold ,sweep, floor, do the dishes, make the bed, take out the rubbish, fold the clothes, sweep the floor, clean the living room,etc.2重点句型:Make polite requests:-Could you please do the dishes? - Yes, sure. / No problem. / All right./ OK./ Sorry, I cant. I have to do my homework. / Sorry, I cant. Then read the title and ask about “could”.1. Show the words and let the class read: “rubbish, fold, sweep, floor, take out the rubbish”, then drill them and read together.2. Then Show the phrases and let the class read: “do the dishes, make the bed, take out the rubbish, fold the clothes, sweep the floor, clean the living room,”, and then drill them for two times and read together.Give the class 60 seconds to remember the phrases and ask them to stand up to retell them freely as quickly as they can. 1. Ask the class: Do you often help your parents? What will your mother say if she wants you to do some housework?2. Drill the conversation“Could you please make the bed?” using four kind of answers“Yes, sure./No problem./All right. /Sorry, I cant.Im going to do my homework.” about the first picture and ask them to show in pairs. 1.Drill the conversations “Could you please do sth?” using four kind of answers“Yes, sure./No problem./All right. /Sorry, I cant.Im going to do my homework.” about all of the pictures.2.Then ask them to practice and show by a chain game. Play the tape and check the answers. Before it ,give them an example.1.Ask the class to match the English phrases and the Chinese meanings together. 2.Teach the class to read the new phrases (go out for dinner, go to the movies, stay out late, get a ride, use your computer)and check them by the Chinese meanings. Then ask them to practice in pairs and test them after the English phrases disappear.Ask : If you want to go out for dinner, can you ask your father “Could you?”or “Could I?”. Drill the conversations about the new phrases , then ask them to practice and volunteer to show in pairs using “-Could I do sth?”-Yes, you can. /No, you cant.” about the new phrases (go out for dinner, go to the movies, stay out late, get a ride, use your computer).Say: When I click the numbers, maybe you should use “Could you /Could I”to make new conversations. Who wants to challenge? Then ask the Ss to make new conversations using the new phrases and pictures.Ask the class to finish the exercises.Ask the Ss to summary the new words and the conversations , and read together.Ask the Ss to make a conversation between he/she and his/her parents, using the sentence pattern “Could you /I please ?” .Teach the Ss: We need to share the housework to have a clean and comfortable home.Answer the teachers questions.Read the title.Read and drill the new wordsand phrases.Stand up to retell the new phrases freely as quickly as they can.Drill conversations and show in pairs.
