What are they doing? Theyre listening to a CD. 2) Be able to master the new tense:The Present Progressive Tense.2.Ability Objective:Beabletousewhattheylearnedtodescribewhat people are doing.3. Moral Objective:By talking about what people are doing, deepen understanding, communicate with each other, learn to cooperate.Teaching key points:The usage of The Present Progressive TenseTeaching difficulties: 1)The structure and pronunciation of the present participle.2)Beabletousewhattheylearnedtodescribewhat people are doing.Teaching Procedures:I. Lead in1.Show a flash on the screen and ask students to watch.Lead in the new lesson.2.Ask students to look at our teaching aims and read them.II Revision1.Check the preview by looking at some pictures on the screen.They are about some new words and new phases:newspaper, use, soup, wash,read a newspaper,use the computer,make soup2. Have a competition between boys and girls to check how students learn about the new words and phases.III. Presentation1. Look at some pictures and ask .For example:What is he doing? Hes playing.2.Teach how to add -ing to a verb and add -ing to some words.Then show the rules to students.3.Discuss The Present Progressive Tense in groups.Pay attention to the structure of The Present Progressive Tense and its general questions and Wh-Questions.4.Have a competition between groups to choose which group is the best.IV. Practice1.Look at some pictures, T makes conversations with Ss and practice the conversations.A:What are you doing? B:Im v-ing.A:Are you v-ing? B:Yes,I am./No,Im not.A: What is he/she doing? B:He/She is v-ing.A:Is he/she v-ing? B:Yes,he is./No,he isnt.A:What are they doing? B:Theyre v-ing.A:Are they v-ing? B:Yes,they are./No,they arent.2.Ask a student to ask and he/she can choose any other students to answer to practice the new drills.3.Guessing game:Look at some pictures and ask students to guess what people are doing.The group that can guess most will be the winner.For example:A:Is he/she v-ing?B:Yes,he is./No,he isnt.A:He/She is v-ing.V. Presentation1. Work on 1a. Ss read the activities and look at the pictures. Then match the activities with pictures. 2. Check the answers with the Ss. VI. Listening T: What are Jenny, John, Dave and Mary doing? Now lets listen to the tape, find out the right activities from 1a. 1.Play the recording for the Ss and Ss listen to the recording and write the numbers from 1a.2.Play the recording again and Ss complete the conversation. 3.Play the recording again and Ss read after it.Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.VII. Pair work 1. Ask the Ss to read the conversations in 1c with a partner. Then look at the pictures in 1a. And make conversations about other person in the picture.2. Ss make conversations by themselves and practice the conversations. A: Whats /What are they doing?B: is/ They are.VIII. Theyre listening to a CD. 教学反思焦作市示范区阳庙镇中心学校 张庆娟 教材选自新目标七年级下册Unit6 Im watching TV. 在这个单元里,学生将首次接触现在进行时。这是本单元的第一课时,听说课。在这节课中,学生将通过已学过的活动如watch TV等学习用现在进行时谈论人们正在做的事情。同时,本课中也出现了新的词组,如make soup等。现在,我将对这次课进行反思总结:在这堂课中有很多设计我没有尝试过的地方,同时,我也把这些地方视为我这节课的闪光点:1.采用歌曲导入新课,动画图片呈现新知,引导学生体会现在进行时的含义。不仅能吸引学生的兴趣,调动学生的积极性,而且可以让学生在欣赏歌曲图片的同时感悟新知,学习新词。2.男女生PK赛。这既是一个游戏环节,也是检验预习新知、突破基础词汇点的环节。打破原来学习的惯例,训练了学生对词汇的掌握。3.小组合作学习的运用。为了突破本节课的重难点,我设计了合作学习的环节,让学生们通过小组协作总结现在进行时的各种句式结构,从而为本节课、本单元的继续学习做好铺垫。4.Chant,这是我这节课最大的收获。虽然Chant汇集了本节课的重难点,但是却朗朗上口,最重要的是学生喜欢。当然,这次课中还
