Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?Section A (3a3c) 黄湾中学 孙静Analysis of the Material 本课时是本单元Section A 的阅读部分,是针对目标语言的阅读理解练习,让学生阅读故事时体会目标语言的用法,然后回答提出的问题,同时教育学生主动为家长做家务。从话题角度上看,这一单元在本学期乃至整个初中阶段的教学中具有特殊的地位和重要性。3a-3c 通过阅读强化对单元主题内容及语言项目的学习及理解,发展学生的阅读技能,在练习活动的设计紧密联系上一单元的阅读策略。Analysis of the Students通过本单元前面内容的学习,学生基本上激活了已有的语言知识,对本单元的话题(Chores and permission)已经有所感知,chores就来源于生活,学生并不陌生,从心里上减轻了学生对新知识的难度认识。前面通过听说的训练,不仅发展了学生的语言技能,也巩固了所学词汇的和征求许可的句型结构。同时,为本课时的阅读和理解、以及在具体的语言环境中去运用目标语打下了坚实的基础。Teaching Aims1. Free talk. Have the students discuss the questions:1) Who is the busiest in your family, your mother, your father or yourself ?2) What chores do you do at home?(设计意图:通过与学生谈论有关做家务的话题,一方面复习前面学过的动词短语,另一方面也能深入了解学生在家做家务的具体实情,以便为本课的学习内容做好铺垫。)2. Show a picture to the students, have them discuss the following questions with their partners.Was the house clean and tidy, or was it a mess?What will happen if your room is a mess like this?(设计意图:通过展示课文插图,自然导入新课。)3. Learn the new vocabulary by themselves: throw, neither, shirt, all the time, as soon as (设计意图:让学生学会合作学习,通过合作学习,培养学生合作精神。)Step 3 While-readingTask 1 (Group work): Read the story carefully and answer the questions.1. What was the first thing Nancy did when she got home?2. What did Nancys mother ask her to do?3. What did Nancy want to do?4. Why was Nancys mom angry with her?5. Did they solve the problem? 6. What did Nancy finally understand ?First, divide the class into groups of four. Then have them discuss the questions in group. Next, read and understand the passage to find the answers to these questions. Finally, Check the answers. (One of members reads the question to the class. Another member translates the question into Chinese. The third answers the question. The last one translates the answer into Chinese.)(设计意图: 通过小组合作完成所给任务,既培养学生合作精神,关注了每一位学生,又体现了分层教学,让学生体验到合作学习的乐趣,从而提高学生学习的兴趣。)Task 2 Read the story again and fill in the blanks. Next, ask three students to underline the sentences on the screen. Finally, check the answers and explain the language points.(设计意图:通过学生活动,引导学生理解同义句的替换,突破本课的重难点。)Step 4 Post-reading Task 4 Put these sentences in the right order according to the passage. Nancys dog wanted a walk and welcomed her when she came home from school.Nancy understood she needed to share the housework and cleaned the room.
