Besides introducing the new salon, it gives many useful tips about hair care. Such a topic is related t

By studying this lesson, students can improve their reading ability, learn more about how to keep hair healthy. At the same time, we should get the students to understand

3、 some difficult sentences to comprehend the passage better. The students should do some listening, speaking and writing too. 2. Analyze studentsThe junior middle school students should have started to care for their appearance. This lesson can attract a lot of interest from students. They will learn

4、 it carefully.3. Teaching aimsAccording to the textbook content, students age characteristics and cognitive level, determine following teaching aims.3.1. Knowledge aim: (1). Master the new words (salon, hairstyle, depend, suit, angle, diet, shampoo, conditioner, oily, normal, soft, smooth, shiny, ha

5、irbrush, comb, loosen, dirt, hairdryer) in section A2.(2). Comprehend the paragraph.(3). Use the sentence adj. + for + pron. + to + V, adj. + enough + to + V.3.2. Ability aim: Can describe the shape of face & hairstyle, understand the relation between hairstyle and the shape of face. 3.3. Emotional

Teaching procedureNow let me introduce my teaching procedure briefly. I will finish this lesson in four steps to train students ability of listening, speaking, reading an

10、d writing, especially reading ability.Step 1. Warm up(1). Ask students to generalize the suitable hairstyle for different shape of face, and explain the reason. For example, Short hair usually suits round face. It makes the face look longer. Longer hair suits square faces. It hides the angles of the

11、 face.Encourage students to innovate more examples. Ask students to recommend the suitable hairstyle (long hair, short hair, straight hair or curly hair) for the teacher according to her shape of face.Purpose: This activity let students have a perceptual knowledge about the relation between hairstyl

12、e and the shape of face, it helps students to select the most suitable hairstyle for themselves.(2). Encourage students to think about the topic of hair care and hairdressing, ask general questions such as these below:a. How often do you wash your hair?b. Do you ever put gel or mousse on your hair?c

13、. How do you dry your hair?Step 2. PresentationThis course is very important, Ill mainly talk about this step.Section AA1. Point out the numbered list of words. Play the recording the first time, students only listen.A2. Play the recording a second time. Ask students to repeat the new words.A3. Let

14、students read the new words aloud individually or in pairs.Purpose: This activity provides guided listening and pronunciation practice using the target language. Section BB1. Play the recording first time, ask students listen carefully, and pay attention to the pronunciation and comprehend the text.

Point out the paragraph in the picture and ask students to read each one by themselves in groups.Purpose: This activity provides listening and reading using the target language.Step 3.
