1、U7. Will you have a robot?Section B 1a1eLadies and gentlemen, good afternoon! I am very pleasure to be here to share myteaching designs and ideas with you. Today I m going to talk about my teaching ideas about 1a-1e of Section B Unit7 Grade 8.I m going to analyze this part of teaching from 6 parts.

2、As you can see, they areAnalysis of the Teaching Material; Analysis of teaching aims ;Analysis of the Teaching Methods; Analysis of learning methods; Teaching Procedures and Blackboard design.Part 1 Analysis of the Teaching Materials. The main topic of this unit is the life in the future. The studen

3、ts should learn to use the Simple Future Tense withwill to make predictions. The students have already learntbe going to to talk about the future plansin Unit6. So it won t be difficult for them to understand.This is the third period of this unit, it offers students the listening and speaking practi

4、ce. The students must pay attention to the past tense, the simple future tense and the simple present tense. After the class, the Ss can develop their listening and speaking skills, and use the target language to talk about their past lives and the future lives.Part 2 Analysis of teaching aimsAccord

5、ing to the students language foundation-2cand s2astatus danfunction in this unit, I will set my teaching aims as following.No.1 Knowledge aims:1.words and phrases: astronaut, apartment, rocket, space, space station, computer programmer, fly to2.target language:I will fly rockets to the moon.-where w

6、ill you live?- I will live on the space station.No.2 Ability aims: the students should grasp the new words, they should be able to use the target language to ask and answer about the future and share to their friends. They ll mainly develop their abilities of listening and speaking.No.3 Emotion aims

7、: know about their own past lives, predict the future lives and make his own future plan.Important and difficult points. In this class, the important points are the new words and the simple future tense with will. The difficult points are the listening practice and development.Part 3 Analysis of tea

8、ching methodsIn order to achieve my teaching aims, I will adopt“ 5P”to teachinghelpthe modeSs to learn the target language step by step. After the listening,they ll have chances to practice speaking, so in order to encourage the Ss to open their mouth to say, Ithem some truly situation. For example,

9、 I ll present pictures to show the differences about different years among my mother, my daughter and. IFirst I ll discuss what mymother eat 20 years age, how did she go to work, where did she live at that time? And what will my daughter eat in 30 years, how will she go to work, where will she live?

10、In order to make my lesson lively and interesting, I will also use Competition teaching method to arouse Ss interests.Part 4 Analysis of learning methodsTeachershave teaching methods, of course, students have learning methods, too. The students has already learnt be going to to talk about the future

11、 plans in Unit6. However, most of them still have difficulty in speaking and writing. In order to overcome the difficulty, I prefer to cultivate their abilities of observation, cooperation and self-adjusting. They should take an active part in my class activities to develop the listening and speakin

12、g skills gradually.Part 5 Analysis of teaching proceduresLet me mainly tell you my teaching procedures. Here are 6 steps for the lesson.Step 1 Preparation (4)First of all, I will greet my Ss as usual. And divide the whole class into 2 groups to have competition.At the beginning of the class, I ll sh

13、ow some video parts from the science fiction movies to talk about what the future be like. Some prompting words will be shown tohelp the ss. By doing this, the Ss can review the target language in Section A and improve their expressions. And at the same time, I lllead them to learn the new words.The

14、n, the Ss will have a quick test about the usage of more, less and fewer.Step 2 Presentation(5 )1. After warming up, I ll show the picture of Nie Haisheng. And ask my Ss:What does he do? Where does he work? How does he go to work in the space? Then show the pictures to learn the new words. Then ask

15、them to read for server times.Then divide the words into 3 categories, ask them to put each word in the correct column to help the Ss to memorize the words more easily.2. In order to encourage my Ss to add more words about the jobs, the transportations, the places to live. I askll them to work in sm

16、all groups and add 5 more words. Then tell them the first group to finish the activity is the winner, so that the activity may be more exciting.In this way, the new words may be presented naturally. This step can enlarge Ss vocabularies and sweep away the difficulties for listening.Step 3 Practice 1

17、2()This step provides listening practice by using the target language. Before listening,let students discuss the pictures. Let them have a good listening habit, this skill willhelp students get good grades.Listen for the first time, match the conversations with the pictures.Listen for the second tim

18、e to give Ss practice for specific items in conversations.The Ss should fill in the blanks with the correct verbs. Then check the answers andthe forms of verbs should be attentioned.Listen for the third time, match the phrases with the correct column. It s every helpful. By doing this, the Ss can ha

19、ve a deep feeling about the different tense.Last, finish the conversation according to the listening. Itso thes a little difficult,tape should be stopped if necessary.In this step, let the Ss listen 4 times in order to improve their listening skills bygetting the key points.Step 4 production 13()Aft

20、er the listening, I llgive student more speaking practice by using the targetlanguage. In this part, there re 2 tasks for them.(1). We will do a less open-ended activity, which is the pair work in 1e. I askll astudent to role play a simple conversation about Joe s life now, ten years ago, and tenyea

21、rs from now to give examples to the other students. I ll ask: Where do you live?Where did you live? Where will you live? etc.Give my Ss 2 minutes and then ask some of them to act out their conversations. Ifthey do well, we will clap handsfor them. As for their mistakes , it s normalAfter.they finish

22、 the conversation, correct the mistakes for the whole class.(2). It s a more open-ended activity. I ll present pictures to show the differences about different years among my mother, my daughter and I. First I lldiscuss what my mother eat 20 years age, how did she go to work, where did she live at t

23、hat time? And what will my daughter eat in 30 years, how will she go to work, where will she live?After that, ask them to work in groups to talk about the life 20 years ago, the lives now and the life in the future using the target language. I will go around the class and learn about how they are go

24、ing on. At last, ask some groups to act out their dialogues. For the groups that are active and serious, or cooperate well, I will praise them and ask the others learn from them.This activity is not only interesting and creative but also an extension of the knowledge and their abilities of communicating and cooperating.Step 5 Progress(5 )In order to check if my Ss hav
