5、.Ask students: What are we supposed to do when we eat with other people at the dinner table?Then ask some individual students answer the question, collect their answers, then say: Today, well talk about the table manners in different countries.Step2. Activity 11.Look at the picture and ask students,
6、 to say what is happening in it. (A family is eating a meal.)2.Point to the title: Mind your manners! and ask students what they think it might mean.(It means: be careful of how you act.)3.Read the instructions and point to the five statements about manners. Be sure students understand what each one
7、 means.4.Then ask students to complete the quiz individually.5.Check the answers.Step3. Listening1.Activity 2a(1)Read the instructions to the class. Review what an exchange student is and what table manners are.(2)Point to the four pictures. Say: you will hear the exchange student, Steve, talking wi
8、th his Japanese friend. So to shi is explaining some things you are and arent supposed to do when eating in Japan.(3)Point to the boxes where S, are supposed to write a number next to each picture.(4)Play the recording Ss listen and number the pictures in the order.2.Activity 2b(1)Read the instructi
9、ons and point to the numbered list of sentence starters and the lettered list of sentence endings.(2)Say: You will hear the same recording again.This time as you listen, write the letter of the correct sentence ending after each sentence starter.(3)Point out the sample answer. Read the correctly com
10、pleted sentence to the class.(4)play the recording again. Ask Ss to write the letters in the blanks.(5)Check the answers.Step4.
