At the beginning,studentslistento a dialoguebetweenWangPeng and an expert.Make surestudentsgo throughtheexercisesbeforetheylistento thetape.Thisistosharpentheirattentionand listenfortheanswers.Thiswillalsohelpthem getthegistofthelisteningtext.The teachingproced
3、ures may be as follows: First, let students go through the exercises and guess thelistening text may be about. Play the tape for students to listen to and decide whethertheirguessingis right.Second, askthem to listenagainforthem to do Exercise 3. Third,letthem listena thirdtimetochecktheiranswers.Wh
4、iletheyarelistening,theteachershould pause and repeat the key sentences to help students understand. After listening,let them work in pairs and finish Exercise 4. When checking the answers, explain somedifficultlisteningpointsifnecessary.Intheend, show them thelisteningtextand letthem read and retel
5、l it. This step can help students understand and grasp the listeningmaterialfarfurther.Perhapssome studentswillfindithardtolistentoand understandlistening materials. Encourage them not to give up. The more they listen to English, theeasier it becomes.As we know,young peoplecan show thattheyarenoteat
6、inga balanced dietina numberofwaysby being toothin,toofat orsick.So theexerciseTalkingistoencouragestudentstodiscuss how theirdietsmay affecttheirqualityoflife.Itgives them the opportunityto practice a dialogue using the functional items for seeing the doctor, suggestions andadvice.So theyshouldlear
7、nsome expressionsofseeingthe doctor,suggestionsand advicefirst.Then theyarerequiredto createsuch a dialogue.Duringthecourse,encouragethemto use vocabulary from the reading and listening passages.Thisperiodplacesemphasis on developingstudents listeningand speakingability.We should try our best to enc
8、ourage students to saysomething. Don t always correct themistakestheyhave made whilethey arespeaking.Otherwise,theywouldfeelreluctantandnot say anything more.教学重点1.
