Paula has over 25yrs experience in the field of Early Childhood Education and over 14yrs experie nce in

2、 teach ing in Tertiary Educatio n.Paula participated in the development, writing and accreditati on of the Win tec Bachelor of Teach ing (ECE) programme.Win tec School of Educati on has a primary focus of delivery programmes for Teachers across the education sector, through initial ECE teacher educa

3、tion and professional development for qualified teachers.Initial Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher Education in New ZealandThis presentation will focus on the variety of ECE teacher education programmes in New Zealand, their models of delivery and sector (employer) n eeds. 6、ages a team of 18 academic staff members who teach across three early childhood programmes - Bachelor of Teaching (ECE), Diploma of Teaching (ECE) and the New Zealand Certificate in Nanny Educati on.As a registered teacher Christine worked in a range of early childhood settings for 25 years, includi

7、ng private childcare, state kindergarten and community-based setti ngs. She joined Win tec 10 years ago as an academic staff member teaching on the Diploma of Teaching (ECE), and then the Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) programme before taking on the Team Leader role.Early Childhood Services in New Zeala

8、ndThis prese ntati on discusses the history, development and range of ECE services in New Zealand, and the significanee of TeWhariki(the national early childhood curriculum of New Zeala nd).TeWhariki supports the diverse n eeds of childre n, parents, and communities, allowing choices for these group
