3、aching procedures:Warm up:1.Free talk with what I can do. By talking, the teacher shows her abilities and draw some pictures about dog and cat. (Students get to know the sentences I can and the teacher is going to lead the topic in.)2. Talking pets by showing the PPT, students can tell others their

4、pets.(Teacher can ask if the students have a pet dog or pet cat. For the story words Kim has a dog, Jim has a cat, If the student we are talking with has a pet dog, we retell he has a pet dog consciously and purposely.)3. Lead in.Today were going to read a picture book named The Odd Pet.Step 1: Teac

5、her shows the cover of the book and guide students to describe the odd pet.Step 2: Listen to the story. Listen to the story for the first time and try to get the name of the odd pet, how we can call the odd pet.(By listening, students get to the word zog.)Step 3: Read the story. By watching the stor

6、ys vedio, students get the answer how many people there are in the picture book.(By reading the names Kim Jim Viv, we can practice pronouncing the letter sound/i/.)Step 4: Read the story with PPT. By reading the story with PPT, students think about the question what the zog can do.Step 5: Read the s

7、tory aloud by following the PPT.Step 6: Retell the story. Students can describe the first two questions in their own words.(We just describe the first two pictures according the story is a little bit long.)Step7: Spelling words with the letter sounds/a/and /o/.
