12、),用于被动语态时,使用be made to do sth。 My good friend often makes me laugh when I am sad.当我伤心时,我的好朋友常常能使我笑起来。拓展:make的使用总结:1) make sb adj.“使某人.” My good friend often makes me laugh。=My good friend often makes me happy. 我的好朋友使我开心。 2) make sb. Sth.=make Sth. for sb. 为某人制作某物 Tom always makes kites for me .= Tom
13、 always makes me kites .汤姆总是为我制作风筝。3) make Sth. to do sth. 制作某物的目的 Tom always makes kites to improve his life. 汤姆总是制作风筝去改变生活。2.Mr Wu is patient enough to spend a lot of time explaining things to us吴老师足够耐心地花费很多时间同我们解释东西。 (1)enough形容词或者副词,意为“足够的;足够地”。当修饰名词时,放在名词前;当修饰副词或者形容词时,放在副词或者形容词之后。如: I don't
14、 have enough money for a new house.我没有足够的钱买新房子。 I'm not old enough for my bus pass yet!我还不到领取免费乘车票的年龄。 (2) spend动词,意为“花(钱、时间);花费;度过”。常用搭配:spendon sth花费在方面 spend.(in) doing sth花费做 I spend the whole day doing the housework.我花了一整天的时间做家务。拓展:四大花费Spend主语是人1. (sb) spend some money/some time on sth。2. (
15、sb)spend some money/some time(in)doing sth。例如:I spent fifty yuan on the coat。= I spent fifty yuan (in) buying the coat. 我花50元买了这件大衣。He spent three days on the work.= He spend three days (in) doing the work. 我干这项工作用了3天。3.spend money for sth. 花钱买。例如:His money was spent for books. 他的钱用来买书了。take常用于“占用、花
16、费”时间,后面常跟双宾语,其主语通常为形式主语“it”或物。句式是:1. It takes/took sb.some time to do sth例如:It will take me two days to do the work.这项工作花了2天时间。2. Doing sth./Sth.takes sb.some time.例如:The work will take me two days。这项工作花了2天时间。Repairing this car took him the whole afternoon. 他花了一下午修车。It took me three years to draw th
17、e beautiful horses。=Drawing the beautiful horses took me three years。画这些漂亮的马花费了我3年时间。pay为“付款、赔偿”之意,主语通常是人,句型1. sb. pays some money for sth例如: I paid fifty yuan for the coat。我花50元买了这件大衣。2. pay (sb。) money for sth. 付钱(给某人)买。例如:I have to pay them 20 pounds for this room each month. 我每个月要付20英磅的房租。3. pay
18、 money back 还钱。例如:May I borrow 12 yuan from you? I'll pay it back next week. 你能借给我12块钱吗?下周还你。4. pay off one's money还清钱。cost主语是物或某种活动,还可以表示“值”。句型1. sth. costs (sb。) +money,某物花了(某人)多少钱。例如:A new computer costs a lot of money. 买一台新电脑要花一大笔钱。2. (doing) sth. costs (sb。) +time,某物(做某事)花了(某人)多少时间。例如:R
19、emembering these new words cost him a lot of time. 他花了大量时间才记住了这些单词。注意:cost的过去式及过去分词都是cost,并且不能用于被动句。3.It's terrible for me to work without any words all day long.对我来说,整天只工作不说话很糟糕。 It is+ adj. +for/of sb to do sth (1)for sb常用于表示事物的特征特点,表示客观形式的形容词,如easy,hard,difficult,interesting,important,impossi
20、ble等,不能表示某人的特征: It's very hard for him to study two languages.对他来说,学两门外语是很难的。(2) of sb的句型一般用表示人物的性格,品德,表示主观感情或态度的形容词,如good,kind,nice,clever,foolish,right。It's very nice of you to help me.你来帮助我,你真是太好了。4. Life is like a race. You either take the lead or fall behind人生就像一场赛跑,你要么领先,要么落后。 句中的take
21、the lead和fall behind是一组反义词,用在此处正好形成对比。take the lead意为“领跑”;fall behind意为“落后”。If you fall behind, don't give up.如果你落后了,不要放弃。Hurry up ,or you will fall behind.快点,否则你就要落后了。5. To us, miss is as good as a mile. We can't afford to make any mistakes.对我们来说,失之毫厘,谬以千里。我们承担不起任何错误所造成的后果。 (1)句中的a miss is
22、as good as a mile是英语谚语。其中as good as意为“几乎一样;简直是”,asas表示同级的对比,中间接形容词的原级。如: This book is as good as that one.这本书和那本一样好。 My family is as good as yours.我们家和你家一样。 (2) make mistakes意为“犯错”。要注意mistake的读音。如:Don't worry. Everyone may make mistakes. 别担心。每个人都可能犯错。6. All of us know that it's necessary to
23、pay attention to every detail,我们都知道关注每一个细节是必要的。 pay attention to意为“注意”,后接名词、代词或者动名词作宾语。如: He paid attention to making little noise.他注意不发出噪声。7As a doctor,you can't be too careful.作为一个医生,再怎么仔细也不为过。 句中的cannottoo是常用表达,意思是“无论怎样也不算过分,越越”。如: You can't praise the film too much.这部电影值得大加称赞。 有时也可用can n
24、ever,impossible等与too连用来表示类似意思。如: A kid can never have too many toys.孩子永远也不会嫌玩具多。It's impossible to get there as early as possible.去那儿越早越好。8. Each of them represents a lunar year. They appear in a fixed order and the cycle repeats every 12 years.其中的每一种动物代表一个阴历年份它们,顺序固定,而且这一循环每12年往复一次。 句中的every意思是
25、“每,每隔”,表示事物发生的频率。every two days应译作“每2天”或者“每隔1天”,如: The buses go every 20 minutes.公交车每隔20分钟发一班车。 1 go to see my grandmother every two weeks.每隔一周我去看一次奶奶。9. In Western countries, the year is divided into a cycle of 12 star signs在西方国家,一年被分为12个星座的循环。 divide into意为“把划分为”。此时是平分 The English teacher divided
26、the class into groups.英语老师把班级分成小组。 be divided into.被分成(为被动语态结构) The students were divided into four groups.学生们被分成四组。10.It is you who shape your life and your future你的生活和你的未来都掌握在你的手中。(初中阶段了解) 句中“It is+被强调的部分+who/that+原句其他部分”是一种强调句型,用于加强语气。 It is the book that interests me most.就是这本书最使我感兴趣。 It is MH 3
