It deals with: (1) the is

2、sues involved in managing innovation and managing the medium term and long-term development of technology in firms; and (2) the ways in which business strategies and technological competencies interact in the firm.二、课程教学内容及基本要求On completion of this course, students should: (1) understand the nature

3、of innovation processes and become familiar with the characteristics of technologies (2) understand the principles involved in managing innovation and the development of technology in firms and the ways in which business strategies and technological competencies interact; (3) appreciate the range of

4、 frameworks, and the strengths and weaknesses of them, that are used in analyses of the strategic management of technology. 13、ognize the importance of the concept of technology transfer with respect to innovation mnagement; Provide a summary of the process of technology transfer;Examine the various models of technology transfer;(二)课程的重点、难点及解决办法重点和难点:The course concerns the fundamentals of the nature of innovation and new p

14、roduct development. This includes a discussion of what is strategy, the nature of technological knowledge, how firms manage new product and process development, how they organize and manage R&D, the importance of learning from others and collaborative arrangements for innovation, and the role of
