Reading: Ss scan advertisements about three conference venues for specific information. Speaking: Ss work in pairs and select a venue for the marketing conference.Con

Exam practice: Memo writing. ii.Detailed study of this unitStep 1 An enquiryWarmer: T introduces the subject of conferences and elicits briefly whether students have attended or organized conferences and their general opinion of them.Ex. 1 VocabularyT hands out a se
7、t of cards to each pair of students to sort into the correct order for organising a conference. This vocabulary will be recycled in this step. We need to concern about the details of the conference which include choice of location, equipment needed, budget, date, duration, finalizing the programme d

T explains plenary; this is for Ss passive recognition rather than active use.e.g., Are there any details

Speaking: Ss work in pairs and decide how they would orgainse a sightseeing tour of their own city/town as part of a weekend conference.The confirming reportReading: Ss read extracts from the conference report and match them with the relevant progra
24、mme item.Vocabulary: Ss read the extracts again and underline adjectives. They then provide opposites for these adjectives.Listening 2: Ss listen to a delegate giving feedback on the conference and fill in her feedback form.Speaking: Ss work in pairs and discuss what makes a good conference.Self-stu
