1、Section A （Grammar Focus3c）Unit 8 When is your birthday?语法聚焦语法聚焦序数词序数词序数词是表示顺序及“第几”的词。如：first第一，second第二。1. 序数词的构成(1)第一第三单独成词，分别是first, second, third。(2)第四第十九均在相对应的基数词后加th，它们分别是：fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth, seve

2、nteenth, eighteenth, nineteenth。在这些序数词中，特殊的有：fifth, eighth, ninth, twelfth。(3)整十的序数词是把相应的基数词的最后一个字母y变为i，再加eth。它们分别是：twentieth, thirtieth, fortieth, fiftieth, sixtieth, seventieth, eightieth, ninetieth。(4)如果要表示“第几十几”时，只需将个位数变为序数词，而十位数不变。如：第23是twentythird。2. 序数词的用法(1)序数词的前面要加定冠词the，但是当序数词前面有物主代词、指示代词等

3、修饰时，则不必加the。如：the second month第二个月，my first friend我的第一个朋友。(2)序数词常用缩写形式，即“阿拉伯数字+个位序数词的后两个字母”。如：first1st，twentyfourth 24th。(3)序数词可以用来表示顺序、编号等，但是应该放在名词的前面。如：the fifth lesson第五课。注意：用基数词表示编号时，基数词要放在名词的后面，且名词首字母要大写。如：Lesson five第五课。(4)序数词可以表示“几月几号”中的“几号”。如：五月6日May sixth。口语无忧口语无忧 本单元的主要话题是谈论日期。我们经常谈论某时某地发生
