Teach students the widely used verbs only followed by the infinitive as objects ,such as afford, decide, determine, learn, want, expect, hope, wish, manage, attempt,refuse, pretend, promise, offer, choose, plan, agree, ask, beg, help,
2、fail, hesitate(犹豫)aim.(2). Teach them the verbs and verb phrases only followed by v-ing as objects, such as finish, enjoy, mind, miss, avoid(避免) , imagine , consider, practice, suggest, advise, risk, appreciate,admit, stand, dislike,delay(延迟),keep, allow/permit。喜欢:be/fall in love with, be fond of,be
3、 crazy about ,be interested in ,be addicted to 集中精神:concentrate/focus on, be lost in(全神贯注于)pay attention to坚持:stick to,insist on擅长:be good at 盼望:look forward to困难:have trouble/problems/difficulty(in)旨在:be aimed at(3). Teach them some verbs and phrases can followed by doing and to do as objects, but
4、their meanings are very different, such as go on to do sth. 继续做另一件事go on doing sth. 继续做同一件事 Skill aims. Help students how to memorize these verbs and phrases quickly.How to tell the differences between these verbs can be followed by to do and doing as objects.(3). Help students know how to use these

Teaching procedures Step 1 lead in(3minutes) Ask students a question about what they plan to do during the coming dragon boat festival. A
7、nd then show them my plan and write one of the students answer and my plan on the blackboard. Then ask them can we use plan doing/consider to do. Then ask two of the students to write down the verbs only followed by to do as objects and the verbs only followed by doing as objects. Step 2 Presentatio
8、n(12minutes)First give students 3 minutes to write down the verbs only followed by to do as objects and the verbs followed only by doing as objects. Then hand out them a quit ,where there are many verbs widely used followed by to do and doing as objects.Second show them some phrases followed by doin
9、g as objects.Third show them two jingles to memorize these verbs.Step 3 practice(2minutes)Do some exercises on the quit. Step 4 presentation and practice(8minutes)Show them some verbs can be followed by to do and doing as objects but their meanings are similar.Show them some verbs can be followed by

Step 5 presentation(10minutes)Show students a wonderful writing of the college entrance exam of English in 2023. Then ask them discuss with their deskmates to find out the verbs and phrases that we have learned in the class. And then give more similar words and phrases
