Compared with the SEFC, the new press focuses on widening the students horizon and aims to improve the students communicat
2、ive ability. Listening plays an important role in the language input, which can be helpful for the speaking and writing. Speaking plays an important role in the language output. Such a topic is related tightly to their daily life and can raise effectively their learning interests. So learning it wel
3、l can improve their listening ability and spoken English. II. Teaching ObjectivesAccording to the new English Curriculum Standard, when teaching, teachers should lay emphasis on the four skillslistening, speaking, reading and writing. My teaching objectives contain four aspects: language objectives,
4、 ability objectives, moral objectives and learning strategies. And after analyzing the teaching material, the teaching aims are the followings:Language ObjectivesTo master the new words and phrases : chest lung stomach migraine pneumonia prescription symptom X-ray have a temperature To make the stud
5、ents know how to use the sentences patterns to describe the health problem and symptoms, and understand the conversation between doctors and patients.Ability Objectives(1) Develop the students listening and speaking abilities through individual and pair work.(2) Enable students to learn some daily e
6、xpressions concerning healthy habits.3. Moral ObjectivesEncourage the students to keep body health and form healthy lifestyle.III. Important Points Help the students to get some listening strategies to improve their ability by learning how to grasp the key words. Help the students to master the way
7、to describe the health problems and symptoms.3. Encourage students to talk about healthy habits, so as to improve their speaking ability. 4. Help the students to discuss how to form healthy lifestyle from eating and exercise habits.IV. Difficult Points1. Lead students to talk in class actively.2. He
8、lp students to grasp the key information in listening. V. Teaching Methods1. Communicative Language Teaching 2. Task-based Language Teaching. 5. Teaching Aids In this lesson, the teacher needs a multimedia computer to show slides, besides a blackboard. VI. Teaching Procedures Step1: Warm-upAsk a que
9、stion“Did you sleep well yesterday?”Then, I will know that students all slept well. “But I cant sleep all night. Maybe there is something wrong with my body” Next show a picture to express my mood.Step 2: Lead-in In this part, I will share a health quiz with students. After doing that, they can know
10、 how healthy they are.T: “ In comparison with you, My health condition is really terrible.” Step3: Pre-listeningActivity 1T: “Whats the health problem do I have?” Show the symptoms, organs and medical terms for them.In this part, make students learn the words, which includes organs, medical terms an
11、d symptoms. Activity 2Prediction: 1. Whats the conversation talking about? The relationship? The place? 2. Decide who says the sentences. D(doctor) or P (patient)Step 4: While-listening Activity 1 Answer the questions: 1. What is the matter with Mr Chen?2. What does the doctors say he will do?Activi
