6、ye-washestoberapidlyandeasilyreachedwhenevernecessary.Incaseprocessfluidscomeincontactwiththeskinofeyes,immediatelywashwithplentyofdrinkingwater,thenreachthenearestfirstaid.Always wear glasses and gloves when sampling; take the maximum care when takingsamples.Soundproof ear caps shall be available f

7、or personnel engaged with batteries crushing mill,filter press, equipment venting operations and, in any case whenever the noise level is over 85 dBA.Normal precautions shall be followed for rotating machines. 9、adfoundry.Food,beverage,andtobaccoproductsmustnotbepresentorconsumedinthePlant.ThelistofthehealthandenvironmentallyhazardoussubstancesusedinthissectionofthePlantincludes:batteries: a mix of automotive and industrial lead accumulators, containing lead and leadcompounds(together with weaksulphuricacid

10、),allsafetyand hygiene measures prescribedforleadandacidhandlingshallbefollowed(pleaserefertothematerial safety data sheets, AppendixVII).Weak electrolyte: an acid H SO solution (15-20% by weight), requires safety goggles (8”24min. face-shield), gloves and anti-acid clothes when handled. All the equ

When handling or sampling, safety goggles and anti-acid clothes shall always be worn. For detailed information pleaserefe

When left in open air for long period, it dries and produces lead dust.Handle with high care, wearing protective clothes, safety goggles, gloves and mask. In ord

The exposure to the acid electrolyte can lead to burns and injuries. Occasionally, minorelectrolytespillsmayoccurduetothebatteriesfallin

19、gfromskidsorotherminorincidents.Should this occur outside the battery receiving area, the spill is neutralized with soda ash or lime and theneutralizedslurryissweptupanddisposedofinthebatterypile.ProtectiveclothingmustbewornduringtheseandotheroperationsperformedinthissectionofthePlant.Requiredperson

20、alprotectiveequipmentinthissectionofthePlantincludesacidresistantglovesandrubberboots.Eyewashesandemergencyflushingfacilitiesarealsoforeseen.Thebatterycrushinghammermillisapotentiallyhazardouspoint.Theoperationofthehammermill,may release mists containing lead, which may dry and release lead dust if

21、disturbed. Crushed battery components may fall to the ground and release lead-containing materials. The belt conveyor could release acid spills along its belt and mists at its receiving and discharge points.
