Objectives / Aims:Knowledge objective: Guiding by the teacher, students can understand the new words: grandpa, grandma, son, daughter, cousin, aunt, uncleSkill objective: After this class, students can use the sentence structure: “This/that is my.; these/those
3、are my.”to introduce their family members to others. Emotional objective: After this class, students can know the family relationship more clearly.3. Key / Important Points: Students can understand the meaning of these words: grandpa, grandma, son, daughter, cousin, aunt, uncle.4. Difficult points:

Teaching ProcedureStep 1 Warming upRevision Teacher: Today we will learn the new lesson, but lets review some words of family members first. Which
5、family members do we learned before? Students:mother, father, brother, sister,grandfather, grandmother.Free talk Teacher: Before we open our book, I want to ask you a Question: Do you want to make new friends? Students:Yes. Teacher: Now, I will introduce a new friend to you. Look at screen, please.
6、This is a boy, who can tell me, whats his name? Students: His name is Ben.Teacher: Good job!Teacher: Now, Ben will introduce his family to us.Leading new words to learn. Teacher present the new words: mom,dad,son,daughter,aunt,uncle,cousin by introduce Bens family.Justification: In this part, studen
7、ts can recall some old knowledge and get some new. Besides, students can know the family relationship clearly by the introduction of Bens family.Step 2 Presentation and practiceActivity 1: After last activity, teacher list out the new words on the blackboard and teach students the pronunciation.Acti
8、vity 2: Ask students to finish the family tree in 1a, then check the answer together. Justification: In this step, students learn the pronunciation and prepare for listening.Step 3 Work on 1b.Before listening.Read the words in the box together. While listening. Play the recording for the first time,
9、 students listen and check the words they hear. After listening. Play the recording for second time, teacher and students check the answer together.Justification: In this step, students will be familiar with the new words and prepare for the listening in 1c.Step 4 Work on 1c.Before listening.Teacher
10、 ask students look at the two pictures in 1c, and answer two question:How many people in the picture?Who are they in the picture?While listening.Play the recording, and students choose the right picture. Play the recording for second time, check the answer together.After listening.Play the recording
11、 for third time and ask students to circle the right words.Justification: In this part, students can get some useful information from the tape and choose the right answer.Step 5 Work on 1d.Ask students take out their pictures and talk about it in groups within 5minutes.(Teacher: Now, this your turn to introduce your family to others. But, before we introduce our family, we should introduce ourselves first. Look at the blackboard, do like this. Teacher write down the sample on the blackboard.)
