WeldersmustbequalifiedaccordingtoISO9606-1.Incaseofusingadifferentstandard,aproposalofWQC’sshallbesubmittedtoGamesaforpreviousacceptance.Gamesawillreviewthatthe meetsatleastalltherequirementsincludedinISO9606-1.ForweldingprocessesSMAW,FCAWandSAW,consumablesusedinproductionmustbethesametestedintheWPQR(designation,makeandtradename).WPQRweldingparametersshallbeexactparameters(notrange)andWPSparametersshallbearangeofparameters.Evenforthenumberofruns/beadsintheweldingsequence,dimensionsinthejointdesignsketch…SeeexampleinAnnexAofthis CalculateHeatInputaccordingtoEN1011-1(becarefulwiththethermalefficiencyfactor).SeeexampleinAnnexAofthis Frequentlymacrographsarenotclearenoughto schemesandphotocopies.WeldingHAZandsteeltesmustbeIncaseoftheWPQRprocedureincludesgougingprocess:IfinWPQRtheprocessinvolvesaheatmethod(arc-air),intheWPSthegougingprocessincludedcanbethesamemethodoranon-heatmethod(grinding).
