processesinvolvedinplanning,abstractthinkingandcognitiveflexibility.Participantsweregivenabatteryoftests,

includingtestsofverbalfluency,wordrecall,andbackwardcounting.

Asexpected,thosewithhighereducationsaidtheyengagedincognitiveactivitiesmoreoftenandalsodidbetteronthe

memorytests,butsomewithlowereducationalsodidwell,explainedLachman.

“Thefindingsarepromisingbecausetheysuggesttheremaybewaystoleveltheplayingfieldforthosewithlower
