Atthree,thechildreninvolvedinthe“Missouri“programwereevaluatedwiththechildrenselected
fromthesamesocioeconomicbackgroundsandfamilysituations.Theresultswereobvious.Thechildren
intheprogramweremoreadvancedinlanguagedevelopment,problemsolvingandotherintellectual
skillsthantheirpeers.Theyperformedequallywellregardlessofsocioeconomicbackgroundsorfamily
