ofourgreatmotherland.Alongwithupsanddowns,itsbeen63years

ofourmothers,thisday,thisnationwillcelebratethefestival

atthevenue.

每年的十月一日是一年一度的国庆节，是我们伟大祖国母亲的生日。伴

随着风风雨雨，我们的祖国母亲已经63岁了，这一天，举国上下都在欢

庆这一节日。

outofbulletinboardsandpainting;Somedogreetingcards,open

classmeetingswithaspecialtheme;Othersthroughdiaries,poems

andotherformsexpressedherloveforthemotherland.NationalDay

holiday,thestudentshavetostayathomewithMomandDadtogether,

thecruisesites,thegreatculturalexperience.Shopatthedoor

withballoonsandcolorfulflags,red,yellowandgreen::permeated

withanatmosphereofjubilation.Everybodyinside,intheoriginal

discount,launchedaseriesofpromotionalactivities.Streetsea,

butalsoranklongcarbuyingservice,thefightmustwaitlong

periods.Scenicvisitorslikelong,countlessmen,womenand

childreninwhichtodothatpeoplehavebeentakingadvantageof

thefestiveplayout.Almostnoemptyparkingplaces,restaurants,

hotels,therevenuewillbesubstantial.

一大清早，我们便到了学校，在学校里，同学们有的出黑板报、画画；

有的做贺卡、开主题班会;还有的通过日记、诗歌等形式纷纷表达对祖国

妈妈的爱。国庆长假，同学们跟爸爸妈妈一起走出家门，游览名胜古迹，

领略祖国的伟大文化。商店的门口悬挂着气球和彩旗，有红的、有黄的、

有绿的.....洋溢着喜庆的气氛。里面人声鼎沸，原来都在打折、开展系

列促销活动。街上人山人海，就连坐车买票也要排着长长的队伍，打的也

要等好长时间。风景区的游人有如长龙，不计其数，男女老少尽在其中，

人们都趁着节日出来游玩。停车场几乎没有空位子，饭店，宾馆的收入一

定十分可观。

:难忘的野外生存

昨天我和李明参加了野外生存训练，那成了我一次难忘的经历。

yesterdaymorningweworestrongandcomfortableshoes,carried

backpackswiththenecessitiesinthemandwenttothemountain,

weclimbedahill,onthetopwesawadirectionmark,whichtold

uswheretogo.downthehill,wecametoariver,therewereno

boatsbutwehadtocrossit.luckily,bothofushadlearnedhow

toswim,butweshouldntmakeourthingsinthebackpackswet.seeing

apieceofboard,igotanidea,weputourbackpacksontheboard

andswaminthewaterpushingtheboard,whengettingtotheother

bank,withthecompasswefoundnorthinwhichdirectionwewalked

halfanhour,finally,wearrivedatthecampsite,wesetupatent

andmadeabonfire.

昨天早上，我们穿上结实而舒服的鞋，背上装好必需品的背包，向大山

进发。我们爬上一座山。在山顶，我们看到了一个方向标，告诉我们该向

哪儿走。下了山，我们来到一条河边。没有船但我们必须过去。幸运的是

我们都学会了游泳。但是我们不能把背包里的东西弄湿。看到一块木板，

我有了主意。我们把背包放到木板上，推着木板在水里游。到了对岸后，

我们用指南针找到北，向北走了半小时。终于，我们到了宿营地。我们支

上帐篷，生起篝火。

seekingfun.Asasecond-yearseniorstudentIhadtopreparemyself

forthecollegeentranceexaminationsthatwereonlyayearaway.

Inotherwords,Imustfindtimetostudy,too.SoIdividedmytime

betweenworkandplayduringthesummervacationandderivedmuch

benefitfromthisarrangement.

Ispentthissummervacationinquiteadifferentway.Iusedto

runabouteverydayinprevioussummervacations,butthissummer

vacationIsimplycouldnotaffordtodoso.Iwouldsoonbeinthe

lastyearofmyhigh-schooleducationandwouldaftergraduation

beupagainstthecollegeentranceexaminations.Thoughthose

examinationswerestillayearaway,Ihadtostartearlytomake

myselfwellpreparedbyreviewingallthosethingsIhadlearned

atschoolandthissummervacationwastheidealtimeformetodo

this.AtfirstIwasratherdismayedatthethoughtofthis,but

laterIthoughtitwasbetterthiswaybecausebyworkinghardthis

summerIcouldcountonendlesshappysummerstocome.Withthis

inmindIthensettoworklikeanythingandonlyoccasionallywent

outforachangeordidsomephysical.Iwasnotatallboredby

thiskindoflife,forIwassustainedbyahope.

Thesummervacationhadcomeroundagain.IwashappythatIcould

forgetaboutschoolatleastforawhile.LestIfoolaroundall

throughthissummervacation,Imadeaplanastohowtospendit.

First,IthoughtIshouldgooverallthosethingsmyteacherstaught

intheprevioustermsothatIcouldhaveabetterunderstanding

ofthem.ThenIthoughtIshouldtakeupsomeformsofexercise,

suchaswalking,runningandrowing,tokeepmephysicallystrong.

ItstoodtoreasonthatwithsuchagoodplanIshouldmakethebest

ofmyvacationtime.Idid,becauseIliveduptowhatIhadplanned.

treesbeforethatday.Onthatday,wedidnthadclasses.The
