Bornin1950,Bartolomehasworkedasaphotographer,stagedirector.Artisticmanager,writeranddiplomat.AnotedSinophile,BartolomefrequentlyvisitsChinaforphotographicsubjects.Inthefallof2003,hejoinedtheFrenchEmbassyinBeijingasaculturalattache.HisworkexperienceinChinafrom2003to2015furtherenhancedhisawarenessofandloveforChina.
