12、Introduction of the Robinson Crusoe,Robinson Crusoe is a novel by Daniel Defoe,first published in 1719 and sometimes regarded as the first novel in English.The book is a fictional autobiography of the title character,an English castaway(漂流者) who spends 28 years on a remote island,encountering savage

13、s,captives,and mutineers(反抗者) before being rescued. The famous story of Robinson Crusoe can be divided into three parts: I. Robinsons youth and the time up to his shipwreck; II. (the main part) his twenty-eight years on an uninhabited island; III. his life and adventures after being rescued from the

14、 island.,The story begins with the universal quest(追求): the young man in Britain, torned between(在.中左右为难 )his safe home and his hunger for adventure,and finally he decided to break away from his loving father and sailed away to the unknown places.,One day he suddendly suffered shipwreck and he escap

He use his intelligence and education to help him survive for many years, and he usesd guns and tools salvaged from the ship. He set up home, read the Bible, found a parrot as a pet, and even devised a calendar

16、to keep track of time.,Then one day he finds a human footprint and some savages arrive in several canoes. He used his guns to get rid of them, and rescued one of their captives-a handsome fellow with very dark skin. Delighted to have a companion at last, Robinson named the newcomer Friday (since Cru

17、soe found him on Friday).,Robinson teached Friday to speak English, fire a gun, carve a canoe and they live happily together.
