We have a school history of 90 years. The institute has been adhering to the spirit of “educating human as basis, obtaining employment as guide, combining industry with education as means, and serving local economy as goal“, keeping in mind the school motto “VIRTUE, DEVELOPMENT, WISDOM, and PRACTICE“. And we have established the school of thought of “building the school on quality, empowering on distinctive features, developing on management, and booming on service “, by orienting ourselves on serving local economy, emphasizing on practical education, strengthening vocational training of students. Since the school first committed itself to vocational education, it has provided the society over ten thousand high-quality skilled personnel. On the other hand, PROOVE is the second largest seller of electrical products in Sweden, with a purchase volume amounted USD 180 million in China in 2009. PROOVE 电器检测中心经过我校与瑞典 PROOVE 公司近一年的 共同努力合作建成，该中心落成后是一个专业从事出口欧盟的电器 产品质量检测的机构，将承担出口电器产品的质量检测任务和我校 相关专业的电器产品质量检验课程及实践教学任务。目前中心已拥 有光谱检测系统、电器负载测试、EMC 测试、防水防振测试等设备， 设有光电与电器性能测试室、灯具老化测试室、防水测试室和测试 样品保管与陈列室等先进设备。 PROOVE Electrical Testing Center is the joint effort of the past year through the University and the Swedish PROOVE. The centre, when its completed, will become a quality inspection agency specialized in quality tests of electrical products exporting to the EU. It will undertake the tasks of inspecting the quality of exporting electrical product export, as well as the electrical-products-related quality testing courses and practice teaching tasks. Currently, the center has already had equipments on spectral detection system, electrical load testing, EMC testing, vibration testing equipment, waterproof, along with advanced facilities such as optical and electrical performance testing room, lamp aging testing room, waterproof testing room and test samples storage and show room. 我相信，此次我校与瑞典 PROOVE 公司的强强联合必将充分发 挥双方优势，为宁波市乃至浙江省的电器企业提供电器产品质量检 验培训、电器产品质量检测标准与欧盟市场发展动态咨询、电器新 产品技术开发提供服务，同时为地方经济建设输送高素质的专业人 才提供有力支撑。 I believe that this powerful combination between our school and PROOVE will give full play to our strengths, and provide to the electrical companies in Ningbo and even Zhejiang, services on training in quality inspection, consulting in electrical product quality testing standards and EU market developments, technology development of new products, as well as provide strong support to the delivery of high-quality professionals to local economic construction.
