Ask some students to tell one or two interesting stories about traditional skills or jobs that they have heard or learnt , then say something about them ,what you have learnt from them .2. Do the exercise in Part A and B on Page 52, Look quickly at the article and write the number 14 in the blanks . Find words or numbers to complete Millies note .(二)组内交流,取长补短1. Learn new words and practice reading the text .2. Discuss and retell the content of this text, practice asking and answering some questions about it , then check the answers .3. Prepare for the report.(三)风采展示,各抒己见One or two members of each group come and show the preparations on the blackboard , then report them to the class while others arrange their notebookson the side of cook a mealover= more thanaverage heightstrong enoughbe good atcatch fishbe used to doup tofishing rodset offbamboo rafta piece of up and downat nightthe front ofenable sb to do sthbring back to remove fromthrow intotraditional skillbe interested in doing sthno moreall the time(四)点拨解惑,助我提升1. of average height 意为“中等身材的”,英语中“of+名词”意义上等于同根的形容词,在句中常用作表语或后置定语,表示人或事物的特征。例:This book is of great value .=This book is valuable .2. although 与though 都用作连词,用法相同,意思也相同,都为“尽管”,不能与but 连用。although表示“虽然,尽管”,作连词,引导让步状语从句,常位于主句前;but 表示“但是”,作并列连词,引导并列句,只能位于后面,并需要在but 引导的并列句前加逗号。Although they are poor ,they are happy .= They are poor ,but they are happy .3. enough的常见用法:enough 作形容词,可以放在联系动词之后作表语或名词前作定语。¥30 is enough .We have enough food for everybody .enough作代词,意为“足够,充足”Enough has been said on this subject .We have enough to do .enough 作副词时,表示程度,常置于形容词、副词或过去分词之后。He is old enough to go to school .They knew well enough what we mean .4. be used to do sth 意为“被用来做某事”These vegetables are used to cook a meal for supper .be used for sth 意为“被用于”Scissors are used for cutting things .be used as 意为“被用作”The box was used as a table by my father .be used by 意为“被使用”Now computers are used by many people .5. so that 与sothatso that 引导的是目的状语从句,从句中通常用may 或can (could) 等情态动词。Sothat意为“如此以致于”,引导的是结果状语从句。Please speak louder so that everyone can hear you .The problem is so difficult that nobody can work it out .6. no more(notany more) , no longer (notany longer) 这几个短语都可以表示“不再”。但是no more/ notany more 常用来指次数上不再重复,而且no more 可以修饰名词。No longer /notany longer 多与瞬间动词连用,常用来指时间上不再延续,多与表示状态的或延续性的动词连用,no longer 还可修饰形容词。There is no more water in the glass .He no longer smokes .=He doesnt smoke any longer .(五)头脑风暴,实地演练一、翻译短语1. 教鸬鹚的鸟 2. 一直3. 潜入水中 4. 把从移走5. 在河边 6. 中等个头的7. 年岁大的人 8. 大约一米长9. 善于捕鱼 10. 达到之多11. 足够强壮 12. 上下跳动13. 被所惊吓 14. 吊挂于15. 使某人能够做某事 16. 其余的17. 在之间分 18. 传统的技艺19. 出发 20. 不再二、同义句转换1. Make some sentences .(三)风采展示,各抒己见One or two members of each group come and show the preparations on the blackboard , then report them to the class , while others arrange their notebooks , check the answers on page 56-59.被动语态1. 在英语中语态分为两种:主动语态(active voice)和被动语态(passive voice)当句子的主语是动作的执行者时,谓语的形式用主动语态;当句子的主语是动作的承受者时,谓语的形式用被动语态。例如:主动语态:Damin pushes the birds into the river with his pole.大民用他的竹竿把鸟儿们赶下水。被动语态:The birds are pushed into the river with by Damin.鸟儿门被大民赶下水。2. 被动语态的构成:be+done(动词的过去分词)Some of the fish are sold by Damins wife.一些鱼被大民的妻子卖掉。3. 主动语态变被动语态的步骤: 主动语态中的宾语变为被动语态中的主语; 主动语态中的动词改为相应的被动语态; 主动语态中的主语变为被动语态中的by宾语。4. 被动语态的时态 初中英语教材中出现了5种时态的被动语态及带有情态动词的被动语态。No1. 一般现在时构成:be+动词过去分词例如:This kind of car is made in shanghai .No2. 一般过去时构成:waswere+动词过去分词例如:The bridge was built in 1992.No3. 一般将来时构成:willbe going to +be +动词过去分词例如:These books will be posted tomorrow .No4. 现在完成时构成:havehas+been+过去分词例如:Has his work been finished?No5. 现在进行时构成:be +being+过去分词例如:A new bridge is being built in my hometown .No6. 带有情态动词的被动语态构成:情态动词+be+过去分词例如:Can this Walkman be repaired here?(四)点拨解惑,助我提升一、在下列情况下要使用被动语态:1. 行为主体不明确,不必说出或无法说出动作的执行者时,要用被动语态。例:Street lights are often turned on at six in winter.冬天路灯通常是六点被开启。Football is played all over the world.世界各地都玩足球。 2. 当动作的承受者比起动作的执行者来说更能引起人们的关心而需要加以强调时,要用被动语态。例:This kind of bicycle is not sold in our shop.我们商店不卖这种自行车。 The thief was caught by a policeman yesterday.这个小偷是昨天被一个警察抓住的。3. 不易找到或根本不可能找到动作的执行者时,要用被动语态。例:My bike was stolen. 我的自行车被盗了。4. 汉语中含有“据说;据悉;有人说;大家说”等意思时,要用被动语态。例:It is said that people there live a long life.据说,那里的人很长寿。 It is known to all that computers are super calculators.众所周知,计算机是高级计算器。5. 汉语中含有“被;由”等词时,要用被动语态。例:Wei Hua is asked to come by Lin Tao.魏华是被林涛叫来的。6. 某些句子习惯上用被动语态。例:He was born in October,1989.他出生于1989年10月。7. 表示礼貌时,常用被动语态。例:You are friendly invited to come to our English party at 8:00 p.m. tomorrow.敬请您明天晚上8::0光临我们的英语晚会。二、在以下10种情况下均不能使用被动语态:1. 不及物动词不能用于被动语态。如:正:The story happened in London.这个故事发生在伦敦误:The story was happened in London.2. 表示状态的动词,如等往往不能用于被动语态。如:正:The shirt fits him very well.这件衬衣很和他的身材。误:He is fitted very well by the shirt.3. 某些“不及物动词+介词”构成的短语动词,如等,往往不使用被动语态。如:正:He walked into the room. 误:The room was walked into by him.4. 祈使句一般没有被动语态。如: 正:Look at the blackboard, please.请看黑板。误:The blackboard is looked at by you.5. 宾语和主语所指的对象相同时不能用于被动语态。如:正:We must help each other.我们必须互相帮助。误:Each other must be helped by us.6. 某些及物动词的宾语表示处所、地点、组织时不能用于被动语态。如:正:He joined the League in 1998.误:The League was joined by him in 1998.7. 动词不定式或动词-ing形式作宾语时不能用于被动语态。如:正:They like to watch TV.他们喜欢看电视 误:To watch TV is liked by them.正:He enjoys listening to the radio.他喜欢听收音机误:Listening to the radio is enjoyed by him.8. 主动句中有表示数量、长度、大小或程度的单词或短语作宾语时往往不能用于被动语态。如:正:She pays three yuan for these tomatoes.她买这些西红柿付了三元钱。误:Three yuan is paid for these tomatoes by her.9. 由“动词+名词”构成的英语习语(如make faces, make friends, take place等)一般不可改为被动语态。如:正:The boy make faces in class. 这个男孩在班上做鬼脸。误:Faces are made by the boy in class.10. 反身代词在句中作宾语时,不能用于被动语态。如:正:You must look after yourself.你必须照顾好自己。 误:Yourself must be looked after.三、使用被动语态需要注意的问题1. 含有双宾语的主动句变成被动时,一般把间接宾语变成被动句的主语。若直接宾语变为主语,则要在间接宾语前面加上for或者to。常用to有:give/ tell/ lend /send/ show/ pass/ hand+to常用for:borrow/ make/ buy+for例如:The pianist gave the pupils some advice那个钢琴家给学生们提了些建议。The pupils were given some advice by the pianist.Some advice was given to the pupils by the painist2. 含有宾语补足语的主动句变为主动句时,通常把宾语改为主语,而宾补就变成了主语补足语。以下三种情形:No1. 主动语态中,make,let,see,watch,hear,feel等后接动词不定式做宾补。动词不定式省略to。变成被动语态时,后面的不定式都要+to例如:The boss made them work ten hours a day .老板让他们每天工作十小时、They were made to work ten hours a day .No2. 宾补为分词。包括现在分词和过去分词。例如:He was heard singing at that time.有人看见他的窗子被打破了.No3. 宾补为形容词、副词。名词,介词短语等例如:The man was found still in the room after 3 days.三天后人们发现那个男人一直在屋里。No4. 主动句中谓语动词是含有介词或副词的短语动词,变为被动句时、介词或者副词不可省略。Children are taken good care of in the kindergarten.孩子们在幼儿园受到很好的照顾。(五)头脑风暴,实地演练一、将下列句子改为被动语态1.
