新历史主义视角下《驯悍记》中男性沙文主义的体现

摘 要 -I- 摘 要 威廉莎士比亚是欧洲文艺复兴时期英国最重要的作家，杰出的戏剧家和 诗人，被喻为“人类文学奥林匹斯山上的宙斯”。莎士比亚的喜剧常运用诗体 语言，充满了明朗的色彩、乐观的基调，具有浓厚的浪漫主义色彩。莎士比亚 的多部作品耐人寻味，对世界产生了很大影响。驯悍记是莎士比亚早期的 一出著名的幽默喜剧，主要描写文艺复兴时期夫妻关系中男女平等还是男尊女 卑的现象。 本论文在借鉴前人研究的基础上，运用新历史主义理论来研究男主人公语 言、行为以及心理活动中所蕴含的男性沙文主义。分析男主人公语言、行为以 及心理活动在当时社会背景下产生的必然性。 本文分为五章论述。第一章是论文的整体论述。包括作者与作品的介绍、 前人研究、新历史主义以及简述论文主题。第二章分析男主角的语言特点并运 用新历史主义分析其中所体现的男性沙文主义。第三章通过对男主角的行为活 动并结合当时的社会背景来分析男主角身上的男性沙文主义。第四章从男主角 的心理活动来分析男主角身上的男性沙文主义。第五章则是论文的总结部分， 通过前四章的论述，将男主人公身上的男性沙文主义在新历史主义理论的指导 下做出诠释。 通过本论文的解读，可以更充分得了解驯悍记中蕴含的男性沙文主义， 了解其产生的时代背景以及其形成的必然性。同时提醒当今的女性，当今社会 虽然是一个平等自由的社会，男性沙文主义却依然是男性思维甚至女性思维中 根深蒂固的一部分，男性沙文主义和女性主义的思想应该在爱情与婚姻中达到 一种平衡。同时也希望本文的研究能给其他同类研究提供参考与借鉴。 关键词 驯悍记；威廉莎士比亚；男性沙文主义；新历史主义 ABSTRACT -II- ABSTRACT William Shakespeare is an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer and the worlds pre-eminent dramatist. Shakespeares comedies are lyrical and poetic; they are full of bright colors, upbeat tone, with a strong romantic. William Shakespeare is a fairly productive writer; many of his works are very influential to the world, especially to the academy world. The Taming of the Shrew is one of the typically the works creates great influence in the world, which mainly depict the relationship between husband and wife at that time. Based on former researches, this thesis analyzes the Male Chauvinism from the New Historical perspective. It analyzes the heros Male Chauvinism from his parole, behaviors, psychology and the certainty of their formation at that particular time. This thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter One is a brief introduction to the author and his works, and the previous critic views over the past decades, illustrates the organization and the aim of the thesis as well. Chapter Two is Male Chauvinism in the heros parole. Chapter Three focuses on the Male Chauvinism in the heros behavior. Chapter Four is the Male Chauvinism in the heros mental activities. Chapter Five is conclusion about the Male Chauvinism in the Taming of the Shrew. The Taming of the Shrew is one of Shakespeares masterpieces, which has profound influence. The heroine Katharinas character has been the focus of attention, however, there are few analysis of Male Chauvinism of the hero. Based on this analysis, the readers will have a better understanding of the male chauvinism in that background. At the end of the thesis, it emphasizes on the guiding role and significance: people can use a new angleNew Historicism to analyze The Taming of the Shrew systematically and its analysis has a great meaning to our real life, even more, makes us recognize social environment at that time.
