试论元人小令的英译 摘要 在我国悠久的历史文化中，唐诗、宋词、元曲、汉赋并称为我国文化之瑰宝。 元曲作为元代文学的代表，以其独特的艺术成就在中国文学史上占有重要的地 位，近千年来一直为人们传诵不衰。 元曲是元代特有的文学艺术形式，小令则是元曲短小的内容形式体现。但时 至今日，有关元人小令翻译的研究和译本仍比较少见。 本文选择了辜正坤教授编写的元曲一百五十首和许渊冲教授编写的元 曲三百首英译本进行比较分析，鉴于两位译者持有各自独特的翻译理论，并 且对同一小令的翻译处理上也不尽相同，本人希望仰仗前辈的名望和观点对元 曲小令的翻译方法和标准进行探讨；结合两位译者所持的不同翻译理论对译者 对相同翻译任务所做出的不同处理进行比较分析，找出元人小令英文翻译的特 色，辅以问卷调查以检验元火小令英文翻译方法的可接受性和被认同性。 作者个人认为，对于元人小令这样具有中国特色的文体，除了借用各类翻译 理论进行必要的分析外，用中国人自己创立的翻译理论能够更好地进行分析： 因为中国本土的翻译大师对于汉语更为了解，在长期翻译实践中总结出的针对 中国古诗词的翻译理论会更适用于中国古诗词的翻译研究。故作者进行分析的 主要理论基础为“多元互补理论”和“三美”、“三之”“三化”理论， 本文第一章介绍了在相关历史文化背景下元曲的起源、发展和文学特点。 第二章作者着重分析了元人小令的可译性问题： 第三章简述了当前元人小令翻译的状况，引出两个不同的英译本以及不同译 者所持的不同翻译理论。 第四章是本文的主体部分，在第二章元人小令可译性分析的基础之上，对小 令不同的译文进行详细的数据总结和理论分析，同时比较不同译者所持的不同 翻译理论对于译文的影响。 第五章是作者针对英汉互译学习者或对英汉互译问题感兴趣的读者所做的 一份问卷调查，内容紧扣元人小令的翻译特点和可能采取的翻译策略。 第六章中，作者在借鉴多种译本的基础上，列出自己翻译的几首元人小令， 虽然远不能和两位翻译大师的作品相提并论，但终究是作者在总结小令翻译特 色的基础上得出的心得体会运用于实践的成果，还有待大家给予批评指正。作
